Wesley Morris The office staff is always friendly and greet you with a smile. The hygienist are very professional and caring. Dr. Habib is very easy to communicate with and he really listens. The only negative would be that the management company for the building should take better care of the parking lot area. They need to rake up the leaves and pick up the litter in the hedges.

Dandelion Bliss I am so grateful to have this dental office nearby! During a cleaning, Mia (the BEST dental hygienist), found something on my back tooth and (luckily) they further explored it. Days later, I went in for a temporary crown and met Dr Dickens and Nicole. They are both smart, patient, and kind. They kept my appointment time light, funny, and as comfortable as possible-especially for a difficult temporary crown. I ended up having tooth pain later and needed a referral for a possible root canal. Staff was on top of responding, sending in antibiotics and steroids, and a referral so I could get in somewhere ASAP. Very grateful to Mia for finding this issue and for saving my tooth! Also, the office manager, Erin, is absolutely amazing. She is a gem and a commodity to this practice! As is the other staff I’ve met and mentioned. Thank you for caring about your patients and for working so hard for us! I appreciate all of your patience, persistence, kindness, and hard work.

Mary Virsilla I decided to give University Family Dentistry a try after not being happy with a previous dentist. Erin was so welcoming at the desk, explaining the paperwork. Every person that looked at my teeth was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. I am very happy with this dental practice and highly recommend. On the way out Erin was great explaining the treatment plan and the charges.

Paul Remus I was seen in a timely manner. I was evaluated. Given options. They were gracious enough to try to work me in to have my tooth extracted. So I didnt have to make the over our trip at another date. Dr Diaz was fantastic. Even with working me into their schedule. She never rushed or hurried. Explain what she was doing the whole time. Her dentists assistant was also fabulous. I know the extraction took a little longer than they were planning. I hope her other patients didnt get upset. With that I hope her other patients understand that shes willing to do that little extra. This was my first visit there. Hoping I dont have to go back a lot. LOL. I think I have found a dentist that is trustworthy and looks after your well-being.

Actually, all my visits have been wonderful, but Ayesha (hope Im spelling correctly) took this visit to another level! Shes excellent! Friendly, gentle and very thorough. Carmen Whitaker This dental office has changed since I was there years ago! Dr. Anna’s staff and business manager never pressure patients to sign up for alternative Loan Assistance Plans for your treatment! This new group ran my credit report without my approval stating I’m approved for a certain amount of funds to make the first payment with my major credit card, which that card will be on file for future payments! I have dental insurance but they add additional charges for deep cleaning, X-ray! It appears other customers experience this same issue during my visit! They got me this time, however I will not return!!!

Afterwards...Dr. Williams (and his assistant Kate) dealt with one of my teeth that had a defective filling. They prepared that tooth for a permanent crown...that is to be attached in several weeks. Dr. Williams and Kate were both very professional, making me feel at ease, since I was a little apprehensive. All went well during my appointment!

Sheena Bradley I wish I would’ve gone somewhere else because now 3 years later, I’m having to get everything done again!!! I got all my bottom teeth pulled, 2 implants and a full set of dentures. The teeth pulling went fine. I thought the 2 implants went fine but now I’m told they are completely useless because they didn’t put them far enough in to the bone and now I have to PAY AGAIN to have new ones!!! When they gave me the final set I was shocked about how horrible they looked. They agreed and did another set. They were literally the exact same! I went back several times because they didn’t fit or look right. They told me it was just me and I had to get used to them. I was never able to wear them! I couldn’t even close my mouth or bite down without extreme pain, not to mention they were a blinding shade of white. I’m now scheduled to have everything re-done somewhere else and the dentist couldn’t believe what my final set looked like when I showed him. He said they were slanted, not centered, way too big for my mouth which is why I couldn’t close my mouth and they actually press in to my muscle. So thanks a lot affordable dentures Gainesville, you screwed me over bad, gave me more debt and gave me even more dental trauma

THOR KINSEY Its like going to Area 51 to get dental work. The staff are out of this world. Its the most comfortable I ever felt at a dentist office. Very professional, friendly they answer all your questions. The prices are really good. They fix what needs to be fixed and they dont up charge you to sell you something you dont need. I highly recommend this place for all your dental work.

Bobbie Erwin Best experience ever from extractions to getting my dentures. I have always had horrible experiences at dental offices and so I was very hesitant about going but they put all my anxiety and fears to rest. Had I have known how this was going to go I would have went sooner. From the dentist to the receptionist and the staff working in back, everyone that I encountered were nice, polite, caring and comforting. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is interested in getting dentures/ extractions done. I will never go anywhere else and I am so thankful that I went here. Highly recommended!

Anne Kirkwood I had an inflamed gum and no insurance, new in town and no dentist. I called Millhopper Family Dentistry and was quickly scheduled for an appointment. The receptionist greeted me with a friendly smile. Dental assistant Tami calmed my nerves with her caring, warm demeanor. Dr. Valentina was excellent! She greeted me with a friendly smile, performed an exam while explaining what she was doing, and determined the problem. She was knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the situation, answering my questions, and giving me a home care treatment plan. I was impressed with not only the quality of the exam, but more so with the caring, friendly attitudes of the entire staff.

Jan Bennett I had a fantastic first visit for a comprehensive exam & xrays followed by a cleaning later in the day. I was so impressed with how friendly the staff was from my first call to check out. The assistant was sweet & gentle, Dr. Post was very nice & so informative. My hygienist was the best she made conversation with me & was so gentle while cleaning. The front desk staff have personalities and take the time with each person who enters to make them feel welcome. The care in the back from the dentist to the assistants along with the dental hygienist was so professional and family oriented. The time spent doesn’t feel rushed. They care about the individual. I look forward to our next visit.

Elizabeth Webb This place has some wacko policies. For example, if youre a new patient, you cant get a cleaning on your first visit. What? No, you have to schedule a second one and no, they will not schedule a cleaning for you right after your intake appointment so you have to leave and come back at another time. I have always taken good care of my teeth and just go in to see a dentist once a year for a cleaning. I moved to NW Family Dental because my insurance changed, but upon enrolling as a patient, they refused to do a normal cleaning on my teeth, instead insisting I needed a deep cleaning. Keep in mind my previous dentist never mentioned that I needed a deep cleaning and I have always been told my teeth are in good condition. Turns out the deep cleaning is much more expensive than a normal cleaning. Hmmmm..... I decided to go for a deep cleaning because, I thought, what is the downside aside from the expense? I was told it would be painful and take at least 45 min. The hygienist didnt have any time in her schedule for months but somehow worked me in for me to see her on her lunch break within the week (another indication that this is a money making strategy). The process took less than 20 min and didnt hurt at all and they hygienist told me my teeth looked great. So....did I even need a deep cleaning (Im thinking maybe they just had me to do it to make money?)? Well the catch is that actually a deep cleaning doesnt count as a normal cleaning, so now you have to come in for an intake appointment, a deep cleaning on half your teeth, a deep cleaning on the other half of your teeth, and then a normal cleaning. All separate appointments (some of us are working adults who dont have time for this nonsense). And the kicker is once they give you a deep cleaning, you cant ever get back on their normal cleaning schedule; you have to come in more regularly and you will forever be in a pool of bad adults who needed a deep cleaning. This is ridiculous and not at all patient-oriented. I have also been *extremely* frustrated with the billing department and otherwise getting a hold of anyone at the office. For awhile they had a call center located out of the country, so even if you needed to call to see if you left your headphones at the office, you have to get routed to the call center who has no idea if you left your headphones at the office. They will have someone call you back. But no one does. My HSA required me to have an itemized receipt to get reimbursed for medical expenses, which is reasonable. NW Family dental was UNABLE TO PROVIDE THIS, which is unreasonable. I spent more than six months trying to get documentation.This was an issue before AND after they switched billing software systems. So now I cant even use my HSA to pay for my dental bills. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be going back.

helen m Go to their Alexandria office not here. Seems like they are disorganized. You cancelled last minute on me and messed up my plans. Very unprofessional. I had to fly in and out and all my work schedule was messed up. You knew by the weekend weather prediction it was going to snow and still decided to wait until few hours before canceling. But if we customers cancel we get charged a hefty amount. You could’ve cancelled it just like the other office on Friday and called it a day. Do better

Jon Mazzaferro I am an Army veteran and I chose Smile Design because Dr. Terry is also a veteran. During my initial consultation Dr. Terry recommended that I get several crowns. I was in agreement. On my return visit, another dentist came in and informed me that Dr. Terry was on leave. I was already laying back in the chair, so I allowed the new dentist to proceed with putting in 2 temporary crowns. After he started the procedure, he informed me that I would need a root canal. I asked how much that would cost, and the assistant said a couple of hundred dollars. I was ok with that. I accepted her referal and had to wait several weeks to see a specialist who performs root canals. For those weeks, I was in a tremendous amount of pain. I was further disappointed when I learned that the root canal would actually cost me $1,400. It made no sense to pay $1,400 for a root canal and another $1,000 for a crown when I could just get an implant. To make matters worse, when he gave me the shot to numb my mouth, I felt a sharp pain in my tongue. Four weeks later the right side of my tongue and right side of my face is still numb. He apparently damaged a nerve. I have a huge lumb on the bottom of my gum. I have been in pain for several weeks. I went in today and extracted the tooth that needed a root canal. I had a permanent crown put on the other tooth. When leaving, the office said I owed them money!!!! My insurance fully covered the crown and I also made a $550 payment in advance! If anything they owe me money! She said that I might owe for the extraction. Something that my insurance fully covers!!! I am seriously considering obtaining legal representation. The nerve damage that he caused could take up to 6 months to heal if it isnt permanent.

The environment is welcoming and the scheduling is flexible and able to be completed online. I recently got some wisdom teeth pulled and the doctor made me feel comfortable and I left feeling informed and with my discomfort gone. I highly recommend going here if you are looking for somewhere that’s honest and takes good care of ya!

Lexay 99 I’ve had a lot of issues with dentists in the Gainesville area but Gainesville Dentistry Co was one of the few that impressed me. I came for the new patient special and was able to get scheduled very quickly. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The environment was very uplifting. I didn’t feel belittled as most of the dental groups I’ve gone to made me feel. The office is very clean and updated. The doctor was great. He did a quick exam on me but because I didn’t have any issues, I didn’t talk with him much. I did overhear him talking with some other patients and you can definitely tell he loves what he does and truly cares about his patients. 10/10 would recommend.

Jorge Cabrera I had a very similar experience to what Anna M mentioned in a previous review. I have never experienced the amount of waiting and forepayment needed until I visited this practice. Causing important time disruption and prolonged physical discomfort. Im willing to discuss with anyone in this company who ever picks up the phone, which in my experience is only answered for appointment scheduling. They do charge a $100 fee upfront to enter you into their system even if you took 10 minutes the day before to fill out their form, but that was just one of the surprises on that first visit. They will also charge you upfront for future procedures. The office tends to smell like cigarettes and some of the equipment has visible rust on it. They only have one doctor seeing other 5 people while you wait and the anesthesia wears out. Every step of the process takes extremely long, except for billing. I decided not to go back after I went to have a fair amount of adjustments from a previous visit where the doctor started to get frustrated because he was overbooked. Im glad they only touched one half of my mouth because it took weeks to get the adjustments done while I was painfully trying not to chew on the one side they worked on. Im still waiting for reimbursement for the other half I had paid for upfront. At this point Im taking them to the Alachua Small Claims court for a reimbursement they said it could take up to 12 weeks, and here we are 24+ weeks later and no response, passing the ball from office to office, department to department and no mythical regional manager has ever contacted me like their customer service reps said they would. Theres an obvious disconnect between their customer service and the office. Messages are never passed down and no one assumes responsibility, but somehow, I still get calls about appointments that I never scheduled.

Anna M AVOID THIS DENTIST AT ALL COSTS!! My unpleasant experience with Coast Dental began before my first appointment. I was already running behind my regular cleaning schedule and needed to be seen sooner rather than later. I scheduled a new patient appointment and cleaning for July 1. I got a text June 27 saying my appointment was canceled due to change in doctor’s schedule. I attached a photo of this message. I reschedule it for August 9th. On August 8th I get a text that my appointment was canceled due to water line break. Again- attached this message. If I had the option, I would have gone ahead and scheduled with a different office, but this is one of the only places in Gainesville that accepts Cigna insurance. I was able to get scheduled on the third try to come in and get everything done. My appointment started at 8:30, one of the first of the day. I was called back around 9:30. Had full x rays taken. Got examined by the hygienist, and she was done by 10. Said the doctor would be back shortly. I kid you not .. I waited 50 minutes in that chair to be seen by the dentist. He finally comes back and takes a look close to 11. The hygienist almost didn’t do my cleaning since I had already been there 3 hours, but the main purpose of my visit was to get a cleaning, so I told them that and was able to get a cleaning done. I finally left at 11:45am. I had a second appointment recently to get a filling. This appointment was at 11:30am and, similarly to last time, I wasn’t called back until 12:30. The space is decently clean, I wouldn’t use the words “filthy” like some other reviewers. I did see a small dead roach in the waiting room. Overall, They seem to follow necessary office practices. There is also parking out front which is nice. The dentist was kind and helped to ease my anxiety. UPDATE: I was scheduled for a routine 6-month cleaning 4/4 at 4PM. Without consulting with me, the office rescheduled my appointment for 1PM (photo attached). This was fine since it was with enough time to plan ahead. I even confirmed my appointment was at 1 via text (attached). At 10AM the morning of, I get a message that my appointment is at 12PM. I’m obviously at work and can’t come on a 2 hour notice like that. I call them and ask what’s up, and I am told on the phone that my appointment is indeed at 1PM. I think, okay, it must have been a typo. I drive to my appointment for my now double-confirmed appointment at 1PM and the door is locked. On the front window is a sign that says lunch is from 1-2PM. WTH? I knocked and heard voices inside but no one came to say anything. I called again and said what happened, I just confirmed my 1PM appointment and now they’re actually closed? The service rep tried to transfer me to the office but no one answered. Thanks for your kind reply, Coast Dental, but you absolutely did NOT impress me on my next visit. I will not be returning here again.

Judy Ellis Chrissy was very professional and courteous. She kept us informed of everything and the doc was cheery and very courteous. He was very meticulous with my pre dentures. Making sure everything lined up. They both were very apologetic about the long wait time we have. All in all, my experience today was very good compared to my last visit.

Meredith Perry Let me be honest, I am scared of the dentist. I grew up with a great dentist but he is no longer in business and I have been on the search for a new dentist. I have been several places and have come to view it like taking my car to the shop where I’m led to believe that there is a lot wrong and if I don’t cough up at least $1000 dollars immediately my teeth are going to fall out and don’t get me started on pain. Tioga at Celebration and Dr. B are different. Dr. B treats me like an intelligent human capable of making my own choices. She reviews the options with me and lets me make informed choices. She doesn’t try to do procedures to bill and make money she just tries to care for her patients. That would be enough to keep me but then there’s the front office staff who go above and beyond to make sure that billing and scheduling is done correctly and efficiently they are incredibly welcoming and warm and could not be kinder. I love this place! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist who listens to your needs and concerns with a staff who will support and respond appropriately.

Mark Sexton I had my first appointment today. I switched dentists because my long time dentist stopped taking my insurance. My plan was to visit several offices before deciding on a replacement. That plan changed today. When I walked in to the office, I was greeted with smiles and a nice greeting. The office was well appointed and scented candles were burning. The people at the front desk were warm and personable. I had a lot of questions. They were patient, kind and funny. Everyone in the office was this way. It seemed to be ingrained in the culture. Dr. Bhakta and her associate Nicole were wonderful. I had a broken crown that I came in for and an intake appointment for the following week. They immediately combined the appointments. It was the most thorough exam I have ever received. Nicole and Dr. Bhakti we both superb communicators and both clearly had great skill and confidence. It was a long appointment that included prepping for the new crown and talking about other issues. I won’t go into all of the details. I’ll just say that these two were extraordinary in every way. In addition to being extremely competent, they had an amazing rapport with each other that was very entertained. My search is over.

Deborah Dyer My husband Robert has been debating for literally years to do something about getting dentures. We had gone to another practice never saw a dentist just an outrageous estimate. Not to be deterred he made an appointment at Aspen. From the friendly smiling receptionist who greeted us to Orlando(?) who did the x-rays to Dr. B who took the time to explain Bobs situation and get to KNOW Bob to Sabrina who worked with us on a payment plan that doesnt bankrupt us; an experience well worth it. While getting molds of his gums wasn’t easy or fun they were respectful and after a few tries he was done. He never complained and they were very great at explaining the costs and timing to him. The office is super clean and relaxing—definitely not your average dental vibe. Dr. Cruz-Davis really took the time to listen to what I wanted and helped me understand all my options without any pressure. We ended up going with veneers, and the results blew me away. I can’t stop smiling—literally. The work looks so natural, and I’ve already gotten a ton of compliments. It’s given me such a boost in confidence, and I’m so happy I trusted them with my smile. Fairchild Holiday (Fairchildstyle) I recently went to Cruz Davis Family Dentistry scared out of my mind—not just of the procedure (crown), but that they’d think I was a terrible patient because of how anxious I was. I was honestly embarrassed about how nervous I felt. But from the very beginning, the entire staff treated me with nothing but kindness and compassion. They didn’t judge me, didn’t rush me, and made sure I felt safe every step of the way. They explained everything, checked in on me constantly, and made me feel like I wasn’t alone in how I was feeling. Additionally, I could actually breathe just fine while I was getting the procedure done instead of feeling like I was suffocating or going to choke with so many things in my mouth. They did an amazing job, not just technically, but emotionally too. If you’re scared like I was, don’t hesitate to go here. They really care, and it makes all the difference. I can’t overstate how grateful I am. Best dentist ever!

Jennifer Jeffers The best experience I have had at a dentist in a long time! The office was so clean and the staff were as friendly as could be. They got me in fast, addressed my concerns and made me feel comfortable, listened to and safe. The pricing was very reasonable too and not one of the places that constantly tries fear tactics to upsell. I am so happy to finally find a dentist I can trust and have already booked a cleaning and appointments for my family. Highly recommended!!!!

` Prescribed me some special deep cleaning and refused to complete the regular basic cleaning that insurance would pay for. The doctor zooms in which is last thing I want for a dentist. Also, while waiting, I overheard the manager being told in a meeting to basically squeeze every penny out of patients and if they become difficult and dont want to pay extra fees imposed on them let them go. Although they are probably technically are not breaking any laws, the whole thing totally feels like a scam. Taking my business elsewhere, and regret not reading other peoples reviews.

Toni Footman When I first read the reviews for this office on my way there I was a bit nervous. I was greeted very friendly and the service was great. I was able to decline services that were covered through insurance with no issues and the hygienist took really great care of me. I enjoyed my experience.

Neens No dentist here. Zoom dentist only, and will tell you to see a real dentist. Tried to tell me i need a $900 cleaning. Horrible dont go here. I didnt read the reviews before i went but just now i see a ton of horrible reviews. Iread the post below me by joe kelly and thats exactly what happened to me. Told me i couldnt have a basic cleaning and that i had to have their treatment plan that was $900 or leave. Also out $70 for a "exam" from the dentist that wasnt even there and xrays.
