5 /5 C G: After noticing a nail-polish smell (off and on) whenever I turned on the car air conditioner, I decided to get it check. Initially, I was going to take the car to the dealership until I received a recommendation (from another business) to take the car to 850 Auto Service Center (Crawfordville Highway). I called and confirmed an appointment with Chris for 7/28/2025. I’ve passed this shop many times and this time, I am so glad I made an appointment. What I like about this was the clarity when communicating the ‘issue’ and the repair options. In fact, after diagnostics were completed, a leak was not discovered. However, my cabin filter was extremely dirty which could have been the cause of the smell. Once the cabin filter was replaced, I noticed how the cold air inside was consistent throughout the car. To better explain, you know how a theater room has surround sound? Well, my car now has ‘surround air’. Chris was very transparent in discussing the issues, options (next-steps) and costs. The lobby was very comfortable while I waited and the repair was timely. I’ve been dealing with dealership repair for several years. As a customer, this was a great experience and I’m so glad that I now have a local auto repair shop I trust and will use again.
