1 /5 Heather Anderson: I was able to get an emergency dentist apt. within 24 hours of asking…too good to be true, right? Upon arriving 15 minutes early of my scheduled apt., I was told they needed my insurance information. The receptionist told me that “delta dental is really hard to work with” and “hopefully she will be able to get a hold of them soon so we won’t have to reschedule for tomorrow”. Why did no one ask me for insurance information when I scheduled the apt.? After all, someone was able to send me three text reminders of my upcoming apt.
The receptionist struggling to still reach my insurance company then asks if I have a phone number for them. I am able to get her the phone number for my dental insurance. When she gets off of the phone from them, she calls me back up to the desk. I am then told that my insurance company anthem, is going to take another 30 minutes to send all of the insurance information to them. She also goes on to add that since it is now 30 minutes after my scheduled apt time, I will need to come back tomorrow. I explained to her that I just drove 40 minutes to arrive 15 minutes early to a scheduled apt. and because two different insurance companies are difficult to work with, I am told I now have to reschedule? She then had the audacity to lie to me and tell me that she tried to call me earlier that morning but I sent the call to voicemail. I asked her what time she called and what number she was calling in from so I could check it against my miss calls. She told me she “she wouldn’t even know what number it would come in as”. And if I really did send her to voicemail like she says I did, why would she not have left a message explaining to me the information she was going to need? I would have gladly called her back! So my emergency visit was spent being told by the receptionist that Delta is really hard to work with, Anthem takes a half hour to compile information and none of the blame lies on her because I didn’t answer her fictitious phone call from earlier that morning.
Upon writing this review, I also noticed a previous review that speaks of a similar incident. This business does not respect or value anyone else’s time but their own.
