1 /5 Katelyn De La Garza: Truly every visit we’ve had in the last year had issues. To list just a few, 1.) we scheduled one for my youngest’s one year appointment, they never actually scheduled it. So the day of the appointment comes, but there’s no appointment scheduled. We schedule another one, but that now puts my baby 3 months behind shot schedule. 2.) Had an appointment for 10am, they open at 7:30 just as a reminder, so we show up for that 10am appointment, but the pediatrician is out of the office. Which is fine. But no attempts at communication? Zero calls, texts, emails, nothing to let me know we can’t do the appointment? 3.) Speaking of calls, it is close to impossible to get anyone on the phone for pediatrics. If you do happen to get on the phone with anyone, it’s after waiting for 20-30 minutes on hold. 4.) Child isn’t gaining weight like they want him to, which is probably due to him not eating enough solids, so any reasonable person would think let’s push the solids hard before we do anything else. No. They would rather pressure us into strapping down a one year old so they can stick him with a needle to make sure “nothings out of wack”. Couldn’t even tell me if they were ruling out any sort of illness or what, it was just to see. No, I will not be holding down my child so they can stick him with a needle over that. I’m not traumatizing my one year old child before even attempting literally anything else.
