Sheila Haney My Dad was brought to West Florida ER after falling and hitting his head. He had just been released from Santa Rosa Medical 2 days before this happened. (left them a review as well). When he arrived at West Florida they did a MRI and determined he was okay. He had a black eye and had to have several staples put in his head, without anything to numb the pain. My Dad agreed to this but he is not in his right mind. I did explain to the guy helping (not sure if he was a nurse or a doctor) that my Dad had Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and that he falls all of the time and he has dementia. I told him about our attempt to get Santa Rosa Medical to get him into rehab so perhaps he could be transitioned to a nursing home faster, we have been trying the usual route with no luck. He said he could not help but would have case management come talk with us.
We waited another 20-30 minutes and then we are told they would just call, they apparently could not be bothered to come speak to us in person and they never called either. Wasted our time for absolutely nothing. This was yesterday.
I pleaded our case as strongly as I could. I told them they could call Pace fire dept and see they have been called numerous times to pick him up when he fell. My family has gone to pick him up as well. Its just him and my Mom, she is 80 and cannot walk 2 ft without getting out of breath and is not strong enough to get him up (he is a big man) His condition gives him insomnia and he is up and down all night, she cannot make him stay in his chair or bed or use his walker. He has been know to leave and wonder the neighborhood without her knowing.
My Dad fell again @ 2:15 this morning, fortunately he did not hurt himself this time. I am documenting everything so if he does have a fatal fall, we will be able to tell lawyer of all our attempts to get help. They have good insurance and the hospitals are getting paid, not sure why they will not help. I know people who have had less falls and no injuries that were sent to ER and they did for them what they refused to do for us.

angel montano Traci G. in Radiology Registration; where you sign in for x-rays. I was experiencing challenges with Schedule PLUS, which, in turn, were having their own internal issues. After multiple phone calls from the radiology waiting room, Traci spoke with Jessica @ Schedule PLUS (also extremely helpful) and figured out how to get my Order so that I could have the x-ray taken. After , at least, an hour & a half, Traci was able to register me. The time spent thus far, and I had not even been far enough along used the clipboard (?) to sign in; after Tracis assistance, the entirety of the visit lasted 10 minutes (which was great!) If you check my armband time & x-ray times & you will see how efficiently they move, could not be more pleased with how the Staff treated, responded, assisted, generally cared.
Did I mention that Traci was working constantly, on her additional duties, and still helped me everytime I interrupted her with questions, request for additional information, fax numbers, etc. It cannot be easy to be accessible to Everyone, aways, purely because Shes a person I can grab.
I thank Traci G. This visit could have been much (Much) more challenging.
Thank you, thank you Traci!
(From a chronic patient who would rather not go to appointments,)
