What Clients Are Saying about Cracker Trail Museum (on GG)
4 /5 Linda Dianne Hall: Interesting items and history of the area. Would highly recommend visiting.
5 /5 Haven: I randomly saw this museum & decided to visit… entered Joyce charged me $3 plus cc fee…. So worth it!!! Very interesting museum - with historical & one of a kind items to look at & read about!.. I did enjoyed the antiques especially the irons & cameras. I can say I was glad I stopped & randomly running into someone I’d not seen in years which was a bonus!! The Post Office, Cabin & Railroad train was great for outdoor pictures. A gem of a museum & glad I found it!!!
5 /5 Mindful Yoga with Chandrika: Stumbled across this museum after hours during a road trip. There was enough of a museum outdoor (which is accessible any time, i.e. even when the museum is closed) that it was a very nice stop to stretch our legs, a pleasant environment to sit down at some provided picnic tables under an awning, and learned a lot of history from a part of America that seems to be getting forgotten and covered with cement. #GhostTown
1 /5 Debra Kuebler: Website said open at 8am, got there after a 2 hr drive. Door said opens at 10 am. We waited until 10 am, no one came to open anything. Says open Monday-Friday 8 am. 2nd time we drove there and no one there. They need to update their website and the front door to get in! Will never try again. Not worth it.
5 /5 Wayne Eaton: Fantastic little museum very informative guide. Some really interesting exhibits well worth the few dollars entrance. Also really nice family run restaurant across the road.
Pioneer Park - Zolfo SpringsMichele Gentile: I was just driving along and I saw water and I pulled over and found this beautiful little historical area. Pioneer Park some of the original downtown is still standing. In the middle of the state here going east is very beautiful. If youre ever traveling up 64 or 70 and you see water you need to pull over its usually part of one of the rivers flowing through. Very relaxing and some even have benches and tables.
Barron Park - LaBelleGockley Tam & Alan: Cute little park you can fish at with restrooms.
LaBelle River Park - LaBelleDon Browne: Newest park in the LaBelle area, with several miles of trails along the Caloosahatchee River and through a wooded area to the north side of the park. A picnic table and parking area is located at the head of the trail and a porta-potty, unfortunately pretty dark inside when the door is closed.
Kid Jones Park - LaBelleBruce K.: Kid Jones Park was finished in 2009. It features LaBelles only covered and illuminated basketball court. The park spans 3 acres and features a playground, covered pavilion, quarter mile walking trail, baseball fields, and restrooms.
There are several picnic tables and a swing set plus a large covered pavilion available for rental. It looked in excellent condition with no trash.
Lots of open space for picnics and kickball or football. The park hosts the Black Heritage Festival, which takes place on the third Saturday in May.
LaBelle Heritage Museum, Inc. - LaBelleDon Browne: Located in the historic district of LaBelle, this is the best place to research local history with some interesting documents, photos, and exhibits of days gone by. The volunteer staff have a vast knowledge of the area and can answer most questions or lead you where to go further on local history.
LaBelle Nature Park - LaBelleAnne Amor: LeBelle Nature Park is a short but scenic trail, heavy with foliage that makes you feel completely off the grid. It’s the kind of place where you can just get lost in nature for a bit, away from the noise. Parts of the trail run along the water, though it’s mostly raised rather than a beach—except for one small spot near a pavilion where I could climb down. The best part? Dogs are allowed, which was a huge plus for me. It’s not a long hike, but it’s a great spot for a quiet, refreshing walk with my pup. Definitely glad to have found it.
Hendry Complex - LaBelleDon Browne: Under construction for many years. The fairly large neighborhood park is not quite complete yet and residents still wait for it to be open to the public. Located conveniently next to the local Southwest Florida State Colleges LaBelle branch.
Muse Community Park - LaBelleMary Northam: The grass wasnt mowed, so we had to deal with snakes. The kids had fun. No grills, the pavilions offered no real shelter. No bathrooms.. for an hour or something is fine, but honestly, its not great for a small birthday party such as ours.
Davis-Pratt Park - LaBelleShawn Purdie: Typical county fields for most age groups. Decent batting cage only 1 L screen. We hit here prior to playing tournaments in Ft. Myers.
