  • Select Specialty Hospital - Tallahassee - Tallahassee Thomas Carlisle: My wife spent six weeks at Select Specialty Hospital. After enduring multiple rounds of sepsis before her arrival, the care team at Select went above and beyond to restore her health. When she first arrived, she was unable to get out of bed, stand, or walk. But by the time she left, she was walking with a walker and had made remarkable progress in her recovery. The doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, CNAs, and both OT and PT teams were exceptional. They listened to her needs, treated her with respect, and provided care that made her feel valued as a patient. The staffs attentiveness gave me complete confidence in their abilities, and I am incredibly grateful for their efforts. I highly recommend Select Specialty Hospital to anyone in need of long-term acute care. Tallahassee is fortunate to have this facility in our community.
HCA Florida Capital Hospital Emergency Room - Tallahassee David Prince: I received excellent care from the time that I walked through the door. The nursing staff is highly knowledge and very kind and I appreciated that since my health was so bad when I came in. I cannot thank you enough for all that each and every person between the ER and The nursing staff that carried for me after I was admitted.
CDR Health Tallahassee Clinic - Tallahassee Michael Tellup: I received both my first and second Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine here. The staff was very friendly and patient, and they waited after I was injected to make sure I was okay, and well to leave. Its nice to know that they were actually concerned with my well being and didnt just inject me, and kick me out. Also, my appointment went fast. They brought me back to a room almost immediately, I really had no wait. All in all, it was a good experience, I would highly recommend them.
TMH Physician Partners - Primary Care in Southwood - Tallahassee Nori Gammons: AVOID: This was my first and, without question, my last visit to this facility. I was deeply disappointed by the staff’s lack of professionalism (the nurse practitioner included). The bedside manner was subpar, and I observed a troubling disregard for patient confidentiality. I overheard staff loudly discussing my test results in the hallway and asking if I was still in the room, without taking the time to check in on me directly. Additionally, when I left the room to ensure they were aware of my presence, the nurse assigned to provide me with my paperwork was on her personal phone, showing little urgency or attention to my needs. This experience was highly unprofessional and concerning.
Capital Regional Medical Center-Southwood Campus - Tallahassee Skittlez: been there twice. first time i went, i waited 5 hours in the waiting room, puking every 15-20 minutes like clockwork, just to find out i was pregnant and was just told to drink some water and to buy prenatals then discharged. second time i went was for postpartum pain, got discharged with pain meds but they sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and told me i would just have to get it from that pharmacy even though i explained that my insurance wouldn’t cover it. overall, the staff is nice but they’re really slow and don’t double check their work.
Patients First - Lake Ella - Tallahassee Jessica Myers: The staff was so kind and saw me sooner than I expected. It was clean and sterile. It was just expensive, as urgent care goes. I wish I had been tested for RSV amid the other respiratory symptoms I was showing. I wonder why I wasnt...but overall, I would recommend and go back in an urgent situation. Ive added the prices for the services offered. A regular visit is $250.
FSU Internal Medicine Residency Program at TMH - Tallahassee Rachell Arnett: Dr. Day was/is really great with my son, but the office is very hard to get ahold of. Ive been calling for weeks for my daughter to speak with the nurse about her prescription that needs refilling, and in week 3, no one has called yet.
VA Tallahassee Outpatient Clinic - Tallahassee Kristy Clark-Doskocil: The PCP that I have has said multiple things incorrectly in regards to my health records, previous surgeries and medicine. I have contacted the VA Advocate about these issues and my concerns and the Advocate forwards them to the clinic instead of sending me to somewhere that can actually help resolve my issues. The next place to contact will be the congressman.
TMH Physician Partners - Services by Southern Medical Group, P.A. - Tallahassee Erin S: Drs. are good but customer service is terrible. Every time I call, Im "caller number 27" or more, and theres no call-back option. Ive been trying to get an email to join the portal for 6 months and cant get any resolution. They just keep saying, "You should get an email." But when I dont, nobody is there to help, which makes communication with the provider more than difficult, despite numerous chronic conditions that need to be coordinated with other providers. I even emailed TMH to ask IT to get in touch and provide some assistance. I havent heard from anyone. Very disappointed. Seems communication is not a priority for this practice.
TMH Physician Partners - Cancer & Hematology - Tallahassee Jenaya Murray: I’ve been there before multiple times and never had an issue but today was just not a great experience. I went in last week for labs and apparently the system had changed so I had to wait almost 2.5 hours (I was patient and understanding) I came back today for my appointment, and was told my labs were thrown out and I needed to do them again. Again, I was patient and understanding however my 10 month old baby was not, as any baby would after being there for approximately 1.5 hours at this point. As he was whining one of the lab staff members came and tried to take my stroller and ride the baby around. I asked her nicely to keep him by me as he’s not used to being around people. She tried to tug on the stroller with me until I got full control of it and rolled it in. After a few minutes of waiting my baby wanted to sit on my lap . I let him and after the woman put the needle in my arm, where I couldn’t move, another woman came and snatched my baby out my arm. When I asked for my baby back, she turned him away from me and said “he’s fine!” Even though he was SCREAMING louder . I never felt so helpless and uncomfortable since I couldn’t even get up or take my baby back. The amount of staff members who came and got close to his face and even touched my baby without asking permission was beyond belief. No one should feel comfortable touching anyone else’s child without permission. And no one should refuse to return a baby to their mother when asked. I’m beyond upset and frustrated with the experience today.
