5 /5 Sunny Discoverys: Visiting the L.B. Brown House Museum was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend for anyone interested in history! The reservation process was easy, and the staff were very accommodating with the time we requested for our Saturday visit. The museum is filled with interesting details about Lawrence B. Brown, who went from being a former slave to a successful businessman and community leader. The tour was engaging and informative, showcasing Mr. Browns personal possessions and original features like wooden pillars and clay plumbing pipes (no longer in use).
Finding the museum was straightforward, and there’s plenty of parking available in a grassy area, although street parking might be a better option for those with mobility needs. The tour lasted about 45 minutes and was really captivating, highlighting L.B. Browns impressive achievements. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it a must-visit if you live in or visit Central Florida. Im looking forward to the annual L.B. Brown Heritage Festival which is held every February; it promises to be a vibrant celebration of history and culture!
