1 /5 Yirgat Wolde: I recently visited this salon expecting to see Maria, but I was informed she had left. The stylist assured me she could do just as well, but after spending five and a half hours there - when it was supposed to take a maximum of two hours—I was hit with a $225 charge far more than what was quoted over the phone. When I questioned the price, the stylist overreacted, called me cheap, and even called the police, threatening me if I didn’t pay. I waited over 10 minutes for the police, but eventually decided not to wait any longer. To make matters worse, none of the staff spoke English, making the situation even more frustrating. This experience was unprofessional and stressful. I won’t be returning and definitely cant recommend this place to anyone after Maria left.

Yaneli does my nails and does not disappoint, very good at what she does. Altagracia and Reyna have both dried my hair and I love how they always leave it shiny and look completely healthy! He really takes the time to understand your specific hair type and helps bring out the best your hair can be. London has done my hair for a few years now and I am still blown away at how awesome my hair looks every single time I leave the salon. I would not let anyone else touch my hair. If you are looking for color, highlights, foils or a fabulous cut, go see London soon! You will be thrilled - he is absolutely the best in Tampa.

Unique Salon - Tampa Veronica Freeman: This review is not for the shop its for the stylist Carla that works out of this shop. She is very unprofessional. She did my plaits almost on 09/18/20 and the next day 3 of my plaits hot lose and fell out. I called her the next day she did them over. 3 days later they get lose again and very upset. So on 10/02/20 half of my plaits in the back fell out so I texted her ask can she fix them and when no response. So today 10/06/20 I sent a text again bc im really mad now bc a plait fell out in Publix. So replied back very rude bc I told her as a stylist if you dont agree on what the client may want to suggest other options and she tells me im grown she dont have to tell.me anything. She correct I am grown and youre my stylist if you think I should have smaller plaits say so. She was very argumentative with me. She is propably the reason this shop got 1 star

New Identities Hair Studio - Tampa Palms - Tampa Glenda Nevarez: Dakota, did an amazing job on my baby and myself.. The price was very reasonable.. A month ago I got a cut for way more and it was horrible, she has so much knowledge, she makes sure of what you want and explains her process. I was really impressed by her and the overall experience. I was scared to leave me girl that I had for 11 years because I moved. However glad to have found this place and very happy.

South Tampa Salon - Tampa yomana sukkar: A friend referred me to Ambrosia when I needed a new hair dresser. I am so happy I found her. Her sweet demeanor put me at ease immediately. She truly listened to me and delivered. I have very thick curly hair but also wear it straight so she gave me a cut that could be worn both ways beautifully. I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend her.

The Shop Salon - Tampa Kirsten Fertig: Update: asked for help rescheduling / if anything could be done and was blocked I’ve had an appointment for 2 weeks. All I needed was a glaze/tone. The day of my appointment, the stylist cancels two hours prior. Said she can fit me in at 8AM the next day knowing i’m leaving for a trip so I was understanding and appreciative. I just woke up this morning to a cancellation text. I have friends who are hair stylists in my hometown and have been to many salons and have never dealt with anything like this in my life. I had asked kindly if there was a chance she’d have to cancel to let me know so I can find something else, which is already hard considering it’s so last minute. I’m leaving for a trip in a few hours and have no option. I have never seen anything more unprofessional.

Monaco Hair Extensions Salon South Tampa - Tampa Christine Baksh: I wanted to take some time to tell everyone about Alexa. She is highly skilled and will make sure that your hair looks amazing, and exactly how YOU want it. I was wanting to go from a dark blonde to almost full platinum. She was very transparent about how we could get it there in one session, or do it over a couple sessions to maintain the integrity and health of my hair. She went over pricing with me up front to make sure she was meeting my goals within my budget. Once we started drying it, I noticed it wasnt as light as the pictures I showed her, which I was fine with since I knew it this would be a process. It was still a light, very beautiful color (I even had her write down the formula she used for another time), but she said something about it immediately. She reassured me it would be no problem for her to tone and wash it again to get it exactly the way it looked in my inspo pics. With all the foils I needed, my girl put in work that day, but it came out perfect. My hair has never looked this good. :) She is literally one of the sweetest human beings on the planet. Easy to talk to, is always in a bubbly mood, and makes it a relaxing and fun experience. You can tell she is very passionate about her work, and truly cares about her clients and their happiness. She has also installed extensions on me a few times and is always extremely gentle. I never feel sore during or afterwards. They have amazing extensions at Monaco. They never itch! The salon has a wonderful selection of Paul Mitchell and Kerastase products. All the staff at Monaco Ive spoken to have been so kind and professional. You can tell they are like family and very supportive of one another. The vibes there are so good. I cannot recommend Monaco Hair Salon enough!
