2 /5 JESSICA JONES: I have been a patient at this practice since I was four years old. Dr. Bocanegra and his staff were amazing. The “ownership” and staff have changed and as of today I will be finding a new practice. I received the standard text appointment confirmations that state “ Hello Jessica, this is Porto Fino Dental. We wanted to remind you of your appointment on April 30th at 12:30 PM. Text Yes to confirm. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” nowhere in any of the appointment confirmation messages does it say if you do not confirm this appointment that your appointment will be canceled. The last text I received from them was Friday regarding my appointment, which I pasted above… Again nowhere does it state that your appointment will be canceled if you do not confirm. So today I get a text stating “ As of right now no Confirmation has been received unfortunately your appointment has been cancelled please give us a call to reschedule this appointment at 239-482-8806, Thank You!” Because I was at work, I responded yes back right away… But when I left work 29 minutes later, I called the office regarding the cancellation message I received… I was told because I did not confirm my appointment. My appointment was canceled and given to another client. I expressed that I don’t agree with that process because nowhere in the message does it say that you have to confirm for your appointment will be canceled, the representative wanted to just argue her point instead of hearing my very valid point. I will be finding another dentist. This office has not been the same since and this was the final straw for me. The doctor himself is great. I appreciated him explaining things and being thorough. He’s very professional.

It’s been difficult for me to find a practice where the team is both gentle and incredibly thorough, and they consistently deliver on both fronts. 5 /5 Jessica Rosa: I’ve been a patient for for years & was skeptical when the original dentist retired; but, I genuinely can’t say enough good things about this dental practice. The staff is incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, and Dr. Anda is simply exceptional. Not only is their work meticulous and gentle, but they also take the time to explain every step and make sure you’re completely comfortable. I have 4 children and they actually look forward to their dental visits. You can truly tell they care about their patients, not just as clients, but as people.

I have had ongoing dental care at this office for the past year and the staff and the doctor feel like family. They have done great work and they ensure their work is done well. They really do care about their patients and it is evident. They even helped me appeal my insurance, when initially my prior authorization was denied, the insurance approved the plan after the appeal was filed.

James Fox: Avoid this place at all costs! They are the most unprofessional most rude staff I think I have ever met! They won’t cancel the appointment until after you make it to the appointment and find out that you don’t have one! The boss even sticks up for them and their lazy work ethic! The dentist will tell you that your kid needs more than they need to get money out of you or the Insurance. The paperwork from Broadway dental is totally different compared to the surgery center. We are definitely going to find someone else that accepts Medicaid! Please take my advice and stay clear from this place at all costs please!

Dave Deibler: Beware! I made an appointment for a routine cleaning and checkup. The first thing they did was take me back for x-rays … never had so many x-rays at a dentist office in my entire life and I’m 66 years old. I was then brought back for what I thought would be a standard cleaning however that never happened. Instead the hygienist just took measurements of my gum line and then the dentist told me that rather than a standard cleaning I would need a special cleaning due to receding gum line … I have gone to the dentist twice a year my entire life and was never told I needed a special (and very costly) cleaning. They then told me that my insurance would not cover the entire cost and I would have to pay almost $400 out of pocket. I declined this cleaning and was told they’d get with my insurance company and try to get the cost covered … promised to get back to me in one or two days (which never happened). Eventually I received a bill for my $40 deductible and showed the charges for x-rays to be $1,750 … and I only have $2,500 coverage for the entire year. All this cost and never even had my teeth cleaned! Lesson learned … find another dental office!

Dr Malaric is the best in south Florida she’s replaced 3 bridges all flawlessly with no pain and she’s very gentle and caring. She’s replaced over 4 old fillings with out any issues. She’s also done zoom whitening witch takes a while but makes sure your very comfortable . Her hygienist has done the greatest cleanings. She’s doing my Invisalign now and within only four months its made a huge difference in my smile .. if your looking for the best of the best that ft Myers has to offer Dr. Malaric is a gleaming example. ..She really cares about her patients and does amazing work ..Her staff is just as kind and caring , and they make you feel like family! I would recommend her to anyone who’s looking for an outstanding dentist, and if you ever have a dental emergency she will be there for you.!
