2 /5 JESSICA JONES: I have been a patient at this practice since I was four years old. Dr. Bocanegra and his staff were amazing. The “ownership” and staff have changed and as of today I will be finding a new practice. I received the standard text appointment confirmations that state “ Hello Jessica, this is Porto Fino Dental. We wanted to remind you of your appointment on April 30th at 12:30 PM. Text Yes to confirm.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” nowhere in any of the appointment confirmation messages does it say if you do not confirm this appointment that your appointment will be canceled. The last text I received from them was Friday regarding my appointment, which I pasted above… Again nowhere does it state that your appointment will be canceled if you do not confirm. So today I get a text stating “ As of right now no Confirmation has been received unfortunately your appointment has been cancelled please give us a call to reschedule this appointment at 239-482-8806, Thank You!”
Because I was at work, I responded yes back right away… But when I left work 29 minutes later, I called the office regarding the cancellation message I received… I was told because I did not confirm my appointment. My appointment was canceled and given to another client. I expressed that I don’t agree with that process because nowhere in the message does it say that you have to confirm for your appointment will be canceled, the representative wanted to just argue her point instead of hearing my very valid point. I will be finding another dentist. This office has not been the same since and this was the final straw for me.
The doctor himself is great. I appreciated him explaining things and being thorough. He’s very professional.
