3 /5 Kathleen Hatchett: I wanted to try another Ford dealer for servicing so this was my first visit here. Ive been to 4 different dealers and given 2 good reviews. That being said, I called ahead, and was told to make an appointment. I waited 5 days and showed up 10 min prior to my time. I pulled up behind a female employee that was checking a car in. She looked at me with almost a scowl and acted like I was from another planet. I had to get out to tell her that I have an appointment and that Ive never been there and didnt know where to go. She said to just pull up in a spot. I did and went inside to check in. It was a bad first contact, and very unprofessional. Checking in was easy and I clarified what I wanted done. A basic oil change, and 2 fuel filters. The waiting area was full, so I went outside to sit but there was only a bench in the hot sun. I decided to walk around and went to check out the service area. They had great coffee and nice seating with a shaded outside bench. Everyone was friendly. After sitting for 35min, I went to check on the truck. It had not moved. I double checked at the desk to find they were running late. He said that my truck was next. 30 more min went by and I observed a vehicle go in before mine. After 1hr they finally brought my truck in. I was able to watch the mechanic do the servicing. They do a thorough job but boy do they go SLOW! Between stoping constantly and having debates on whos soda is whos for lunch it was finally done 2hrs past my apt time. I do a bit of mechanical work and could have and will do my own next time. I guess they need to warrant the inflated prices on everything. Upon checking out I found that the cost of the oil change has gone up drastically and when I questioned what the charges were he said that they also bled the air out of the lines after the filter change....I hope so, for $475... and your supposed to... and it just consists of cycling the key on 6x for 30 seconds.
I understand its a diesel and takes a lot of oil and the shop has massive overhead, the wait time and paying the extra is a deal breaker for me in the future. Not the worst place Ive been to but not impressed!
