Two days before (Saturday) I realized I had to take out a tooth that has been moving like a hurricane. Found Dr.Thomas on the Florida Blue Medicare Advantage network and made an appointment online. Unbelievably I got an appointment for today (Monday). This morning before I went there Jessica called me and said that all was good with my insurance. I went in within 15 minutes Dr.Thomad checked me did the needful I was out in half an hour. Thats amazing. Best part I didnt feel even a bit. Now I am so happy I found Dr.Thomas. God bless him and his family.

The first office I visited tried to push me into signing a $14,000 loan on the spot—which felt more like a sales pitch than a consultation. That’s when I decided to do a little research and see what local patients were actually recommending. After checking a few Lakeland Facebook groups, I kept seeing people rave about Shimmering Dental—and now I know why. I scheduled a consultation, and right away I felt confident I had found the right place to fix my yellow pearls. The team wasn’t pushy at all. In fact, they let me know that some of the expensive services the first office tried to sell me weren’t even necessary. They clearly listed out every service and cost, and my quote ended up being nearly half of what I was originally told elsewhere! The entire staff is wonderful, and I’ve had work done by both Dr. Mateo Vidales and Dr. Thomas—it’s been flawless from start to finish. I couldn’t be happier. Now my yellow pearls are officially pearly whites!

lourdes romo: Avoid This Place at All Costs! I had the absolute worst experience at this dental office. The customer service is horrendous—they seem more interested in taking your money than actually helping you. Dr. G, in particular, was extremely condescending, treating me as if I didn’t speak English. It was not only unprofessional but also downright rude. To make matters worse, they got upset when I refused a saliva test and gave me a completely wrong diagnosis. It felt like they were just trying to push unnecessary treatments. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone. Be very careful, as it seems like they’re more interested in making money than providing quality care.

No excuses to have a top notch mouth hygiene because this staff are so caring and friendly you will get the service that you need with professional personnel. I had to call a numerous amount of times to try to get them to send necessary info to insurance. (be mindful that when you call you either get a scheduler that has no clue about anything clinical or you get a voicemail) ... Anywho, They never sent the info to insurance for approval but instead they did try and get My Son back for another appt to do xrays that they had already gotten at the initial appt. When I called back to ask Why was the additional xrays needed (as I am not from the area and to drive back would be a huge inconvenience just to get the same xrays ) they would not explain but instead told Me that My Son could go see another Dentist/Ortho instead.
