I went many times, and every time, people who were part of the church and leading it only wanted to converse with their group of ppl they already knew. I can imagine its very tough for some, probably especially for some who are seeking help within church or for counsel.

Brianna Labour: Was attending this church for about 2 years. Was going good at first but my children started dealing with prejudicism, my oldest was get told racist comments. Then they would accuse her of smoking it was just bad experience. They talk alot about community and helping but when it comes to the people in the church they dont help very much. Its franchised alot about the money have kids leading the youth and they dont even have life experiences. Have sinful people being leaders in the church the list can go on. The leaders and directors look down to certain people that dont fit theyre criteria. I wont even step foot in this church again. Im sadden I allowed any of the people from this congregation to pray for me and my family. Ever since I been out this church God has been moving way more for me than being in this church. I learned more about the bible after removing myself than staying in this church.

Christie Steele: This is the best church Ive ever been to (In 29 memorable years). Ive been coming here for three years, since I moved to Tampa. No one preaches like Pastor Tommy. He has an unparalleled gift for teaching. Hes a funny, kind and genuine speaker. No matter how long youve been going to church, youll learn something here. This is the church gem of Tampa. I only wish there was something like this everywhere. Update: Even years later, now that I live elsewhere, I still watch the sermons online. I can’t get the same amount of learning anywhere else.

I love that their family is active and participants in this church and hear the word of our Lord from their pastors. I also love that Pastor Erica sends out a text each week checking on her flock. I have sent her prayer request many times. They also do wonderful work in the community.

They play music for 80% of the "service", then when the Pastor comes on hes very loud end flashy but not actually saying much. Unfortunate because I was happy to find a modern black church, but this is the problem with my people sometimes. I go to church for the peace and solitude of a meaningful word, not yelling at me while you put on a fashion show.

They do a great job at keeping the children safe & secure. Their drop off & pick up policy is on point from a safety perspective. I love the worship. Its a great experience. Last but certainly not least, the service is so filling. Im happy to be at the church & look forward to going each Sunday.

Madison Tyle: The Church at Channelside is truly such a special part of Tampa for me. Pastor John, his wife Shea, and all of the members at TCAC do a phenomenal job of fostering community. One thing I really love about the church is how they truly meet everyone where they are at. From the Alpha class that is geared towards new believers or non-believers with questions about faith to church membership and the CORE team for devoted Christian members who want to volunteer their time serving the community and the church family. I have found so much love and peach at the Church at Channelside! It is also right in the heart of the channelside area/Downtown Tampa, making it very easily accessible and walkable.
