Kristie Baumgartner, Realtor I take my 6 yo here and the staff is great. Angle has to be the most patient and kind dental assistant I’ve ever experienced and is amazing with kids. She helped him feel safe and relaxed the entire time. The environment was calm, clean and inviting especially for a dental office. Highly recommend going here even for your kids.

Daniel Salgado My wife needed a bridge. She consulted with the staff and was given a breakdown of costs. Suffice it to say the amount was not affordable. At the advice of staff at this facility my wife took out a second dental policy to help cover some of the costs in addition to saving up for the procedure. After much scrimping and saving and the purchasing of a second policy per their advice, my wife was finally ready to schedule the procedure. She was charged BEFORE even being allowed to schedule the appointment paying her portion of what she was told to pay, a cost exceeding $1,000. Weeks after the procedure had been completed we were informed that in fact, despite having checked with our insurance and confirming the coverage, the amount we were going to be billed had changed and that we owed them another $1,300. When we investigated the matter we were told that originally the insurance had advised them that the procedure was covered. We found out AFTER the fact that apparently they had decided its not covered. Apparently there is a matter in the dental business referred to as a "missing tooth clause". Which basically boils down to, if you have any sort of pre-existing dental work that needs doing and then go out and get a dental policy, thats not covered under the policy that you just bought. Because you know, insurance is essentially a scam and makes no sense in the worlds richest economy. However, were not insurance specialists, we are not dentists, we are not coders, and we had no idea that any of this even existed. We were relying upon documentation that we were given by the staff at this facility to determine what we would need to come up with to pay for this procedure. Now you might think havent been given documentation from the insurance company stating that they would pay for the procedure, smiles by hazen would do the logical thing and challenge that insurance company to pay for the amount that they had promised to pay already. NOPE! Instead, they want to come after me and my wife to pay an amount of money that we cant afford, that we never agreed to pay in the first place, and that was promised to them by a third party. If we had been informed at any point in this process that there was a chance the procedure might not be covered or had been told about the nature of what this clause was, perhaps we could have investigated on our own to confirm. But we were never told any of this, we were told that the procedure was covered and then given our portion to pay, which we paid in full in good faith. Now this practice is coming after me and my wife for an amount of money that we never agreed to give them, that they have documentation that the insurance originally agreed to give them. You would think you would sort this out with the person that lied to you, but no. Instead of challenging this decision by the the insurance company that misled them and provided them with false information, my wife and I were told that we had to pay this amount. Let me assure you, if this amount of money had been on the table to begin with, we would have never gone through with the procedure. Kind of tough to take the bridge out of her mouth though now isnt it???? Smiles by hazen could retain an attorney, provide the documentation that they were given by the insurance and try to take them to court to make them pay the amount that they already agreed to. But no. That would take work on their part. Instead they want to squeeze two innocent people who have done nothing but be honest and pay our bills on time every time. We were operating off of the information that they had given us, even going so far as to take out a second dental policy under their advice. We did nothing wrong in this case. But now, my wife and I are no longer allowed to receive dental care here because of a screw-up on THEIR part. I would advise anyone dealing with this business to take anything they say regarding costs with a grain of salt. Because you can rest assured that once they misinform you, they will be certain to make their error YOUR problem and not theirs.
