I was told by the dental assistant that I had a 50 percent co-pay for my crown and had to pay it up front that day to have the work done. I was also told all x-rays would be covered by my insurance, including the panoramic x-ray. I paid the 50 percent. They billed my insurance before I received the crown, and I had no co-pay. I had to get my insurance company to tell them they had to pay me back what I paid. When I went for my crown, the office manager/ biller argued with me and tried repeatedly to convince my that I had to pay the co-pay. When I showed her the Explanation of Benefits she tried to say I had to pay the amount the insurance didnt allow. She tried to say he was out of network. I had to show her the EOB 3 times before she would agree to give me my money back. I could not get a credit on my card that day. I had to wait until the insurance sent the payment, even though they should not have taken the money from me up front. She was very rude to me and never apologized. They took out the money for the panoramic x-ray. The dental assistant, the person who presented the estimate to me, never asked if I had already had one that year. She would have known it wasnt covered, since she looked up my insurance the day I called for the appointment. They also took out $79.00 for removal of the old crown. Removal of an old crown is always included in the price of a crown. They wouldnt bill the insurance company for that because it isnt an allowable charge. Its a form of billing where you unbundle the charges. An insurance company wont pay it and a patient should not be charged for it. If I hadnt requested my money back and got my insurance company involved, I would have never gotten my money back.

Dr. Leth has been a true God send and I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful doctor taking care of me. He and his staff have guided me through an array of procedures including my Invisalign treatment, a tooth extraction, tooth implant, retainer, cavity fillings, and teeth cleanings. I have experienced many other dentists and I can say without a doubt that this is by far the most honest, clean, friendly, and professional establishment I have ever encountered!

At last, I left with peace of mind that I have now found a provider who is sincerely looking out for my best interest! Furthermore, this practice is not price gouging and gives the highest level of customer service to their patients.
Maria went above and beyond for me to assist me with estimates, additional financing options, etc. Even the manager called me to offer her assistance. It is a team approach and everybody has such a positive attitude. It is so refreshing!
Meagan did all of my imaging and she will be my hygienist. She was phenomenal!

Dental Remedies - St. Augustine Morgan Lynch: ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND SEE DR. SINGH! I had horrible tooth pain, called the office and Lauren answered very politely. She was very understanding, caring and knowledgeable got me in the following morning! Dr. Singh has the best bedside manner. She is very understanding! She got to work right away to get me out of pain! They understand that some people are not financially able to pay thousands in dental repairs. Dr. Singh and Lauren worked with me on the pricing, made it affordable to get my repairs done. I will never see another dentist for anything else! I look forward to seeing her for many years to come!
Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry - St. Augustine Elizabeth Steen: It’s not too often you hear that someone enjoys going to the dentist!! The staff and Dr. Haeussner are superb! Everyone is kind, professional, accommodating, and experts. My husband and I have been patients for some time now, and we recently switched our two children over. One of our children damaged his teeth and Dr. Haeussner eased our concerns with his responsiveness, care, and process. My son has his beautiful smile back. Not only are they wonderful with emergencies we appreciate the every 6 month check ins. We are so happy to be at Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry.
David Dental Associates - St. Augustine Courtney Brown: I was referred to Dr David almost a decade ago and I trust him and his team 100%. I currently dont have insurance and they treated me the same as they did 7 years ago when I was fully covered. I recently cracked a tooth and called their office (very upset mind you!) and the receptionist was quick to schedule me for the first appointment the following day. I was out in 25 mins and the cost was reasonable. I cant wait to get dental insurance soon to resume my regular cleanings (Ive NEVER said this before with any other dentist).

The level of expertise is unmatched! The office is efficiently run, and all of the assistants and staff are kind and competent. After my emergency visits, I returned for elective aesthetic dental work. I am so grateful to have been referred to Matanzas Dental Group.
