  • UF Health Neurology - St. Augustine - St. Augustine Niksuniverse80: I just have to give one star because the people who answer the phone are so RUDE and unprofessional. The actual nurse practitioner wasnt too bad herself. But the phone reps give the office a terrible impression.
Dr. Shakira Husain, MD - St. Augustine Paula Drainer: She is a wonderful doctor, just hate having to wait for my medication to be sent electronically every month.. and the wait is getting longer every month now. Last month had to wait a day and a half after my office visit before my meds were sent over to the pharmacy.. wish she would just write mine out on paper.
UF Health Orthopaedics - Flagler Hospital - St. Augustine Rosie117 Halo: I had a terrible experience at this orthopedic clinic. I was there for a follow up appointment but the night before I injured my foot. I told them that it was swollen, bruised and painful. The receptionist said sorry we can’t see you for that. That’s a different doctor so I did go in to see my doctor to follow up on my hip which was fine. I had been discharged from physical therapy and I told him about my foot and he told me that he did not do feet I am so disappointed with the way that I was treated here. Nobody seemed to care about the fact that I had a painful, swollen, bruised foot. They did have plenty of excuses, though as to why the doctor could not see my foot. In fact, the next day, I went to my podiatrist and they x-rayed my foot and it is indeed broken. I felt like there was a lack of empathy in the office at UF orthopedic specialist. It’s hard for me to believe that any doctor that graduated from medical school and specializing in orthopedic medicine could not look at a foot and perhaps prescribe an x-ray and some guidance. Instead, I got sent on my way. I hobbled out of the building and I was told good luck with your foot. Luckily, I am able to advocate for myself and I found another provider, but I will never ever go back to UF Orthopedic Specialists. I felt like the office did not care about me as a person and lack empathy for me. These are not the type of providers that I could develop a relationship with and trust for my care. Next time I will go to Southeast orthopedics. I cannot believe that I have a fractured foot and I could not get the doctor at UF orthopedic specialist to even visualize it.
Doctor James F Connor DO - St. Augustine Christina C: I got a new insurance company & found Dr. Connor’s office accepted it. I called & was able to get an appointment the next week. My first time going to the office was great, it was easy to find & there was plenty of parking available. Inside looked nice & clean. The front desk staff was very nice & easy to speak with. There was very little wait from the time I finished my paperwork to when they called me back. The MA that took my vitals & info was very sweet. I saw Christy the nurse practitioner & she was very nice, asked lots of questions & made sure I understood everything & before ending the appointment she made a point to ask if there was any other concerns I had. Great first impression of this office from beginning to end! I left feeling very happy & comfortable that I’m in good hands with my health concerns.
John S Koppman MD - St. Augustine Elizabeth Adair: Dr. Koppman fixed an epigastric hernia back in 2016. I’ve had no issues with it since. The quarter size protrusion on my abs has stayed gone! The 3 mini scars healed over time & I was even able to do some modeling print work in fitness! I made the March 2024 cover of Muscle & Fitness Hers SA, marketed in South Africa. (Check Instagram at @muscleandfitnesshersmag) I was overweight 40+ pounds in my 20’s and lost it with cutting calories to 1500. I’ve kept it off since by maintaining calories not to exceed 2,000 a day, & fitness training. I do refer Dr. Koppman to friends or contacts with hernia issues. I also ask his office for referrals on occasion.
Flagler Hospital: Baker Donald J MD - St. Augustine
Dr. Christopher J. Zub, DO - St. Augustine Paul Sebring: Dr Zub has been my PCP for 6 years. He genuinely cares about my health and has made referrals to specialist whenever it was necessary. He is always ready to answer my questions. I am very appreciative for all he has done for me.
UF Health Medical Lab - Flagler Hospital - St. Augustine Deborah Ax Matthews: Excellent service. Highly recommend! I have gone here several times for bloodwork. After registration is completed you go directly to the lab the same day. I rarely had to wait, ever. The staff are always professional and friendly.
UF Health Primary Care - Palencia - St. Augustine Diana Welden: I started as a new patient several months ago, and really enjoyed my visit with Dr Tran. She is thorough and listens to concerns. However, my review is geared towards the Flagler Primary Care facility as a whole. Since my initial visit, I was seen for a shoulder issue. Dr Tran ordered an xray and mri for Flagler Imaging and it was supposed to be sent to them directly. After at least 3 follow up phone calls back and forth, (because the imaging center never received the order) it was finally sent to Flagler Imaging. After my x-ray, I received no follow up from UF Health Primary Care. I called the office, and left three voicemails on Dr Trans testing results line (I waited 48 hours in between as requested). Finally, after no follow up, I stopped by the office. At that point, they still had not read my x-ray (it had been at least a week). If they are busy, I understand but it only takes a minute to call be back for an update. I waited one more day for them to finally call back with xray results, and then they ordered the MRI. After the mri results were given to me, Dr Tran suggested a 2nd mri for a different look. She said she would place the request, and I would hear from someone in a few days. Its now been two weeks and I have not received one phone call from UF Health Primary Care OR Flagler Imaging. In the meantime, I went ahead and made and appointment at JOI. They read my initial results and set me up with a treatment plan same day. In short, I wasted a lot of time with the primary care. Dr Tran seems like a great doctor, but the facility is very lacking with its communication and follow up. Good luck to anyone that visits and expects thorough follow up. This seems to be a consistent problem if you read the negative reviews.
Pulmonary Associates of St. Augustine - St. Augustine Lurch _: They overbook. As you walk in, you encounter a sign stating that “if you are more than 15 min after your scheduled appointment, you will need to reschedule”… however, when they or the doctors are running over 1.5 hours behind, you are just expected to sit and wait your turn. The least the receptionists can do is call the clients with appointments to inform them of the delay or reschedule. The clients/patients time is just as important and valuable as the doctor’s time. Poor service at best. Seek another provider.
