5 /5 Edward Fluker: My appointment today was for two crown preps and went very well. The office was very busy (first day after a holiday weekend) but everyone was kind and courteous. The dental assistant (Miracle) and Dr. Hewitt were both awesome. I would highly recommend this location.

1 /5 Hannah Carpenter: This place isnt a Dentist, its an insurance scam. Even if they say they take your insurance, they will go behind your back and place you as out of network. If you cancel your appointment they wont send you a confirmation of cancelation, then they will keep your appointment and try to charge you for missing it. If you decide to listen to anything today, listen to this review and go somewhere else. Why take a chance on a place thats going to cause you unneeded stress? Worst practice Ive ever been to. Edit: since they replied trying to act like I was not a patient here. Heres a text they sent me to remind me to make another appointment with them even though Id never go back anyways.

5 /5 d c: I never thought Id be leaving a 5-star review for a dentists office, but here I am—and its all thanks to Marco! Like many others, I dread going to the dentist, its usually an uncomfortable experience. However, Marco immediately sensed my nerves and reassured me that his mom always said he had "hands of an angel." And momma was not lying! His gentle touch and calming presence made me feel completely at ease. Not only was Marco incredibly gentle, but he was also knowledgeable, informative, and communicative throughout the entire visit. He truly made my experience a positive one, and I’ll definitely be asking for him moving forward. Shoutout to everyone at the office, especially the receptionists, Maggie and Carmen, who are always so helpful and friendly.

1 /5 Karen Bertram: This is the WORST place i have ever experienced. I brought my 83 year old friend to get new dentures . They said they took her insurance, and took xrays. They then called the insurance hot line, and it said she was not eligible. We told them she was cleared to receive dentures and had a representative that would call to clear her because it was a mistake. They could not be bothered with her. They never took the insurance call to clear her. Insurance lady left several messages, and they NEVER called her back.So my friend never got her dentures, lost her benefits for the year, they charged her $25 for xray, and filed a claim for xray for $300 and my 83 year old friend is being charged $200 out of pocket for the Xray. They wont answer my calls, and they were the rudest bunch of people i have ever met! STAY CLEAR OF THEM! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE ELDERLY AT ALL!!

Great Expressions Dental Centers - St. Augustine - St. Augustine

Antonio Izquierdo: If I could leave a zero star review I would. I have used great expressions for years and the experience was always just “meh” until recently. I made two appointments for the same day. One to fix a broken tooth, chipped on an olive pit and the other for the hygienist. The so called dentist did nothing more than look in my mouth and confirm I had a chipped molar then he walked out of the room never to be seen again… I was under the impression my tooth was going to be repaired that was the whole reason for the appointment. Then the hygienist comes in and without asking for my consent attempted to do an oral cancer screening (which is an up charge). I refused it. Then she did her cleaning and did not do the fluoride treatment that I did want. I asked to speak with the office manager about the situation and the woman at the front desk told me she was the office manager. I expressed my concerns and her response was,”would you like me to remove your information from our database”. I will never do business there again and I warn everyone I come in contact with not to as well. Absolutely terrible. I have since moved on to a much better dental practice, Sea Breeze Dental, which I strongly recommend. So great expressions responded to my review and asked me to email them which I did and this is the response I got: Thank you for reaching out to Patient Services! Due to the abundance of requests we receive, response times may vary. Please see below for average response times. They never said anything on the phone about the insurance when making the appointment. Makes no sense at all. What a racket! This is my first negative review every. If Im not happy I just move on but I cant let this one go...

Dr. Jones explained everything with care and Lindsay did a great job cleaning. Everyone was happy, positive and laughing could be heard throughout the office. My bill was reasonable and I like the fact that Gordon bills my insurance and charges me an educated estimate of what my responsibility is for the procedure. New to St. Augustine so finding the right dentist is important for me and my family.
