I liked the dentist and hygienists here, but the communication is horrendous. In 3 years, I’ve never once gotten a call back when I’ve had questions. Appointments often take hours and hours because they overbook. Then today, I show up to an 8:30am filling appointment, to be told suddenly that they don’t take my insurance anymore. Said I was supposed to have gotten a letter, which I absolutely did not. They sure did call me a few weeks ago to reschedule my original appointment to today. Nobody bothered to say by the way, we don’t take your insurance anymore. I had this appointment scheduled months ago, now I have to search for a new dentist and likely wait months yet again to start all over, probably pay for a whole new set of X-rays and who knows what else, and pray the cavities don’t get worse. After 3 years as a patient here, thanks for treating me like my time, money and the health of my teeth don’t matter at all.
Boyd & Walther Tallahassee Dental Associates - Tallahassee Dave Young: Ive had rather poor Dental Care experiences in town for the last 3 decades, so my recent experience at Boyd &Walther was a revelation! Jaime the technician spent nearly an hour very carefully, thoroughly, and GENTLY on the best dental cleaning I ever had. Dr. Boyd was pleasant, charming and attentive.In fact, everybody in the office radiated happiness. WHAT A PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE!
CWD Dental Group - Tallahassee Chase Kelly Pettitt: It was a frustrating experience. First, they texted me asking if I could come in early, which I couldn’t, so I asked to reschedule. Instead of accommodating that, they guilt-tripped me, saying someone was coming in on their day off, which made me feel pressured to keep the appointment. When I showed up, the person I expected wasn’t even there, and someone else worked on my teeth, which I didn’t appreciate. On top of that, they’ve canceled several of my appointments due to weather, which I understood, but when I missed one, they charged me $50. It wasn’t just the fee, but the fact that their prices are higher than other dentists in the area. I had planned to switch my whole family to their practice, but after that, I moved to Aspen Dental instead—better prices and no guilt-tripping texts.
Comprehensive Dental Care - Tallahassee Marty Masek: I didn’t know it at the time, but she ground down a molar during Invisalign treatment, and I am still mourning the loss of the top of that tooth. Invisalign with her was a disaster, and I’m finally having it re-done by an actual orthodontist. He said he can’t recover my tooth from what she did to it, but the rest of my mouth can finally function as it should. So sad I tried Invisalign with Tonianne.
James F. Walton III, DDS & Toby Thomson, DMD - Tallahassee Laura Eddy: Love love love. I have never had a bad experience here, ever. Dr. Walton just has a way with people. He listens and is not pushy and provides actual solutions instead of just trying to squeeze every penny outta you like some other big name dentists here in town. All the hygienist are great too. All around I would recommend to anyone
Dr. Susanne Lumpp Cosmetic & General Dentistry - Tallahassee Pat Simmons: Staff is always friendly and professional. Rarely do I have any dental issues for Dr. Lumpp to address. None-the-less, her exams are thorough and she readily clarifies any questions I may have. Hygienist areas are always brightly lit and clean. Love the bird feeders outside the windows. Its a great, anxiety-reducing place to go for a cleaning, x-rays, and other dental services.
Mark McQuary DDS - Tallahassee Job Applicant: I would have given this excellent dental practice 5 stars, but I had to pay $267 because they neglected to remind me when I made my appointment that I could have my X-rays from my prior dentist sent to them.
That is quite inconsiderate because $267 is 2 days of work for me, or an entire year of health insurance for my two cats. Also, dentists earn approximately $129,710 more per year than the average American.
Please change your policy such that the receptionist always asks new patients for their prior dentists information and requests the X-rays.
Blissful Dental Spa - Tallahassee - Tallahassee Katie Vance: Amazing experience! All the staff was insanely friendly I am usually really nervous at the dentist and didn’t once feel anxiety or nervousness or like I was not being taken care of wonderfully. I had to bring my baby with me and they all were so sweet and accommodating and they even *sat on the floor to play with him and keep him entertained* while I was getting my teeth cleaned. Totally unheard of! 10/10 experience
Smileline Dental - Tallahassee Britania Whyte: Avoid Smileline Dental at all costs. My experience as a new patient was riddled with unethical practices and disrespect. Despite confirming my insurance covered the visit, they later tried to bill me for a “major” X-ray I never received. The dentist (Dr. Mohammed Baig) was dismissive, made inappropriate comments within earshot of others (a HIPAA violation), and the exam room was visibly unclean. When I requested my medical records, they refused to release them unless I paid the bogus charge - an illegal and coercive tactic. (They eventually released them after I filed a public complaint). This office misrepresented services to both me and my insurer, and failed to follow up on their own billing errors. It’s not just about the money - it’s about the principle. Do yourself a favor and find a provider who respects patients and at the very least follows the law.
