McManus Julie “Chewlatta” In town with horses for the week. Needed some TLC for my chronic back pain. Choose this location from online search and boy was I glad I did. Fast in and out and followed my lead on course of action to solve my problem. The front desk to the doctor was spot on. They fixed me up and had me back in the saddle the next day. Followed up next day to make sure I was doing well. 1000000% recommend this place. Thanks for helping me get back in the saddle again.

sandy lince We were traveling from Michigan to Florida and needed assistance quickly. It was a Saturday and not many places were open. We found them online. We were able to make an appointment as we drove and check in as we drove another hour to get there. It was a a great choice. We were greeted by an friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly. We were called in in less then 10 minutes and the Dr came in shortly after. She was very caring and quickly accessed our problem calling in a prescription 3 hours further to our destination. When we arrived at our destination..our prescription was ready! The office called on Monday to check on us and see if we needed anything else! We couldnt be more thankful as we were leaving for a cruise in a few days!

Jamie Beitzell I went to my first appointment to establish primary care. From start to finish it was not a good experience. I came in early to fill out my paperwork and still waited almost an hour after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The nurse who did my initial vitals did not seem to know what she was doing. I spent 10 minutes with my provider, who kept asking me “what else” rudely, like she just wanted to get me out of her office. I am diabetic and have not had medications for almost 2 months. I was sent for no bloodwork, and am having to wait another 2 months to get my bloodwork done. And to top it all off, my prescription was submitted incorrectly and they are not responding to the pharmacy to correct it, leaving me without medication even longer. This is the most disorganized office with absolutely zero care for their patients. If you want a compassionate provider who seems like they want to listen to your concerns, avoid this office at all costs. I feel like I paid my copay but got absolutely zero care.

Betty Bradley Dr. Sadler and her staff are the best. They are truly concerned about patient care. Dr. Sadler always takes time for any questions I have. She explains in a way that I understand. I am really blessed to have her as my doctor.

Jennifer Deen The providers and healthcare delivered here are phenomenal. Dr. Nelson and Dr. Sherman are incredibly skilled in their profession and care deeply for their patients. They are holistic in considering every need not being met for each patient. They understand the potential impact these may have on the health of their patients. While I cannot say enough good things about doctors Nelson and Sherman, the office operations leave much to be desired. If a patient becomes sick, it is rarely possible to see their doctor because their schedules remain booked for at least two to three months. While this speaks well of their providers in high demand, their scheduling is not patient-oriented, and patients are neglectfully referred or routed to Quick Care or the ER. This clogs up our emergency medicine facilities with patients not having an emergency but seeking basic healthcare such as congestion or other symptoms that do not require emergency care yet cannot wait two to three months. Furthermore, their insurance claims are constantly filed with incorrect codes, making the patient responsible for paying the entire bill. The charges cannot be appealed if a patient is not notified in time. However, even when billed promptly, this cost still falls back on the patient. They must make multiple phone calls between the office, billing, and insurance if they do not want to be stuck with a huge bill. This becomes frustrating when it is habitual, unnecessary, and worse, they have refused to correct the claim code in some incidents. HCA, please do better. This is unethical and uncalled for as it is avoidable by being efficient in your job. This includes making referrals in a timely manner. My family and I eventually became so frustrated we left to find new providers. We refuse to use HCA for healthcare, including hospital, imaging, or other services. This is because we end up facing similar circumstances in each instance. It is a shame that we have such excellent physicians in our community, but operations are so poorly run that patients are forced to correct their insufficiencies. I constantly refuse to do their job for them. Unfortunately, I miss Dr. Sherman since having to find a new provider with Advent. However, I would say that Advent provides excellent care and prioritizes each patient and their needs. When I need to see my doctor, they always ensure I see them within 24-48 hours max. The patient communication is also 1000% better. Communicating with patients and not leaving them in the dark about their health is necessary. This reduces patient worry and angst. At the bare minimum, they could at least call patients back or fwd messages where they belong when they say they do. My final issue is discussing patient health in the hallway or counter with other patients present. HIPAA? Lastly, when leaving a urine sample in the box on the wall in the bathroom, finding several other patient specimens still sitting is not a good sign. When the temperature of the specimen is supposed to be documented for accurate analysis, I’m curious how this takes place 30 minutes to an hour after the sample has been provided. Not to mention, again, patient names on cups and the potential for theft to be used on a drug screen. It happens. Someone creates a reason to stop by the office and then asks to use the restroom before leaving because they know there are always multiple urine samples just sitting there awaiting analysis.

Quisa Hogan I have been a patient @ Family Care of Ocala Specialist for over 10 years. My provider is Dr. Myra Sherman and she is by far AMAZING! She is knowledgeable, professional and very personable to your visit to her. Dr. Myra will educate and advise you. The entire office staff is so welcoming and treat everyone like family. I am blessed to be a patient at this office. It’s so nice to see how well the staff works together and there’s smiles everywhere.

Amy Phillips I have gone there for years, but since bought out or merged with HCA it has become ridiculous. No return calls for days, no appointments available and told to go to an urgent care (more than once) . I have a GP so I can be seen when I have a sinus infection and not just for annual re set appointments. I love my provider, but will be looking elsewhere for a new GP.

A F Make you wait over an hour for a telehealth. Don’t call to let you know they’re behind. We called and the excuse was “it’s Friday and we are overbooked.” Do not overbook your doctors if they can’t handle their patient load! After an hour and multiple more calls, we are told our appt is being cancelled because they can’t get their stuff to work. They refused to do just a call, had to be video. Very disrespectful for our time. Only option was to wait for 3 more days to be seen when offices were back open because the doctor needed to leave. Does not help when someone is sick to wait so many more days. Would not recommend.

Lori Worst first impression ever! I called and asked about same day appt cause Ive been really sick. She was talking down to me right off the jump. Uhhg are you a new pt I said yes my husband goes there and he gave me the number to call to see if u had an opening She says (in her rude condensending way) uhgg so is this an appt for you or your husband? I just said for me as Im talking g she cuts me off with we dont have any appts for new pts I said ok so you dont do like walk in sick people she said uhgggg we dont do any of that no walk in same day appts I said ok thanks. She was the rudest person,maybe she shouldnt answer the phones because of that one interaction i will never go here and will help others not go here as well. My husband will be finding a new one instead of going here. Not very family friendly!

Maureen Woods From the moment we walked through the door to the time we left, everyone was excellent! Kerri and Beth & Olivia were all friendly, caring and so understanding. I have a great deal of anxiety in a hospital setting and they made me feel at ease; even went so far as to hold my hand until I was out. Thank you all for everything!!

Kelli wallace Had the (mild procedure) spinal decompression surgery with Dr Lipnick and from start to finish (4 hours) everyone was superb. Dr. Lipnick is the best, first time in 3 years I have been basically pain free as far as leg pain, he is a miracle worker and I owe so much to him for helping me. I also wanted to mention the wonderful caring staff that was a pleasure to meet. Very professional and personable, they all made my experience a positive one. Thanks again to Kerri, Leigh, Melanie, Whisper and Kelsey.

It was my second time going to that hospital and I would recommend it to anyone. It was my second time Im going there since I moved to Florida. And I would recommend it to anyone and I will always go there if I have an emergency arise

Cassandra Morris Terrible hospital. Theres no communication between the staff, the doctors and correctly relaying information to the patient. No general surgeon on Friday. No MRI texts on the weekend. They knowingly were understaffed and could not perform medical capabilities. Convinced me to stay when I easily could have been transferred to another hospital to get everything taken care of. Instead my stays been dragged out over 3 days with little progress. Would definitely suggest never going to this hospital. Im sure now Ill receive a generic response from the hospital. Read through the rest of the reviews and every other one is a one star and a poor review

Kasey Lemanski Dr. Sarah is the best primary care doctor Ive ever had, she listens and answers any questions and concerns I may have. The front desk is always nice and efficient making sure you never have to wait long to be seen. Very clean office and professional space.

Elizabeth Wilburn My review goes specifically to my provider, Jennifer Sinquefield. Myself, my husband, and my father all see her because she is such an amazing provider and we all love her. She has so many patients and I still feel like I have her full attention every visit. She is the only provider I’ve ever had that truly makes me feel heard, and that I truly feel tries to get to the root of an issue instead of just pushing it aside. I trust her judgement and her decisions 100%, and truly feel like she always has my best interest in mind. She is extremely knowledgeable and keeps herself up to date on so many medications, treatments, etc. I’d follow her to any practice she chose because she is truly just that good. I consider myself so lucky to be under her care. Providers like her are hard to find.

Lindsay Griffin Dr. Riley was very kind and reassuring! All services were very impressively prompt and I feel like my team really listened to me and let me have the type of surgery and treatment that I wanted, while still making sure I was fully informed. I had surgery two days ago and so far everything has gone well.

Sarah Boyd EDITING TO ADD- Look that this offices response. It’s so unprofessional and ridiculous. If they delete, I can always post it. They managed to call me after my review and tell me I was over $400 due for a refund. Funny that happens AFTER my review. Bet I would’ve never been told that info if it wasn’t for my post on here. It’s also funny the response was made almost exactly after Dr. Wood left- she was the only positive part of this place. Wish she was staying local. I HIGHLY suggest staying away from this practice. Dr. Wood was FABULOUS. Any questions I had she answered, I felt so comfortable with her monitoring me and my child. She made my labor so comfortable and motivated me to keep going. Postpartum wise she has continued to stay on top of my blood levels and everything else. She has been an absolute dream of a doctor! However the low rating is due to the staff in this office- that’s another story. They don’t answer the phone 90% of the time, they requested my global fee for the delivery at 10.5 weeks , it was due a couple weeks after. (We are talking almost $2,000 they expected me to just pull out of thin air - not sure why you don’t get more time to pay this.. More times than I can count did I see the front desk staff being HIGHLY rude and disrespectful to patients. I have been directly billed at time of service for ultrasounds 2x when my insurance paid it out, still awaiting my refund for the second one I paid for out of pocket. I once waited almost 2 hours to be called back and another hour until anyone came in to see me in the room. The place is a disaster overall and I will be switching for my gyno care as well as any future OB care.

chosenoneholy1 Great hospital, employees(Nirses) pretty friendly. Out of all the hospitals I have to say is our number one choice. The only complaint that I have is that, we waited way to long for a room. People shouldn’t have to wait hours to get a room/admitted. I FEEL LIKE THEY WANTED THE CLOCK TO RUN FOR BILLING PURPOSE, ADMIN AND WHOEVER MAKES THE DECISIONS INCLUDING DR’s. Be honest and quicker on getting your patients into a room for emergency and upstairs when they are admitted, THANK YOU!! PS: I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 5 stars but there’s too much time wasted!

From the ambulance transport team to the ER staff and nurses, everyone was professional, compassionate, and efficient. The EMS team arrived quickly, ensured I was comfortable, and communicated with me every step of the way. Once at the ER, the nurses and staff were incredibly attentive, making sure I was well taken care of and keeping me informed about my treatment. Their kindness and dedication truly made a stressful situation much more manageable. I’m grateful for the excellent care I received and highly recommend AdventHealth Ocala for their top-notch emergency services. Thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond!

Salena Mclynn My grandfather was placed in this medical area of Advent health hospital while he was contagious with pneumonia. He was here a total of 9 days and in those 9 days the family stayed by his side waiting to see or even speak with a doctor on his condition. On that 7th day (Sunday) I demanded to see the doctor. When he finally came in for all of 5 mintues (standing in the doorway)to tell me my grandfather is only alive because of the machines. He came into that unit alive and coherent. He left that 9th day after sitting in his feces for hours on end for days and having diabetes tested at 299 for it to take the nurse 1 hour and 40 minutes to return with medicine to lower it. The doctor placed him on diabetes’ medicine that not only never lowered his insulin levels but plummeted his blood pressure. He left the hospital heading for hospice. I do not recommend this place. Your loved one’s deserve so much better.

Jose Vazquez Jr. It is never easy when you have to go to the Emergency Room. However, it is nice to have one so nice and so close by, to where you live. Especially, one with the reputation of that of UF Health. I never give out five stars and this is no exception. They are just barely two weeks open and still have contractors putting finishing touches and tying up loose ends. The staff however are outstanding and are hard working getting comfortable in their new digs( facilities) , jobs and each other. As I was there only two days I do wish them all the best and with my health conditions probably will not be the last.

Luna Absolutely fabulous care. The nurse and doctor met me at the door, addressed my complaint, and got me out the door quickly. I absolutely appreciate their professionalism and kindness. One of the other nurses even pulled my medication and brought it in the room for me to expedite things. It was wonderful to see the teamwork. Thanks everyone!
