Julian Johnson

Address: 711 Beville Rd, South Daytona, FL 32119

(17) Reviews Julian Johnson:

Autumn Hale Julian Johnson is probably the most caring and thorough doctor I had found in South Daytona for my husband. Sad that he left the area but after searching online, it looks like he has moved to New Smyrna at 101 Causeway. I saw prior reviews for him and people wondering where he went and after searching that is the location as of Sept 2024. Its very sad that doctors nowadays are rude and are scheduling so many appts in one day that they cant take the time their patients need to discuss their issues. Dr Johnson was very nice, empathetic, and took the time to address all issues.

Louie Darienzo I wish there was a zero star I could leave Julian. Arrive there at 3 o’clock 20 minutes early from my appointment they got me right in took a urine sample told them my symptoms Danielle the receptionist was very kind she brought me back into the room as I sat there for over an hour Finally Julian comes in he’s talking to me for about five minutes then he says “Brian right”? I said no my name is Louie as he looks at his laptop and says oh there you are. He diagnosed me with a UTI and sent me on my way I pulled out of the parking lot at 5 o’clock after being there for two hours. Long story short still have an all the same symptoms and today Sunday I went to the ER they took the same urine sample and swabbed my nose and come to find out I have the flu a also known as influenza a. They also advised me to stop taking the UTI medication I don’t have a UTI. On top of that AdventHealth just to be safe did bloodwork chest x-ray cat scan with contrast and went above and beyond. But they let me know about the flu just with the swab sample and they wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything else because I had additional symptoms but it all seem to be flu related. Advent health has always had this down treated me very well when I had insurance and when I didn’t have insurance I never received any different service. Dr. Andrews and Dr. Sessoms in the Deland office 850 N. Stone St. is where I’ve been going and getting quality service unfortunately they were closed on Friday so I decided to check out the Daytona office which I will never ever be back to. Hope this helps someone because nobody needs to be treated this way.

Zachary Cash Dr. Jamidar is an awesome doctor, His staff is wonderful. The only problem is Halifax Hospital security. It’s not right that you should have to go through security search and pat down to see your doctor. Things are not that bad right now for this to be necessary seal off the exit from Halifax Hospital. Let us see our doctors, like I said Dr. Jamidar it’s fantastic. This post has nothing to do with him, his knowledge, his professional services.

John Sassano I’m a Surgeon, Anesthesiologist and trained critical care physician for over 40 years. I came to this hospital about 12:30 pm and was taken to the cardiac floor by around 3pm. The medical director introduced himself to me and asked me to photograph his ID badge so that I would remember his name. On the floor multiple blood samples were taken and multiple EKGs were taken. No one told me what the results of any of these were. When I asked, I was told that I could get it off the iPad that was never supplied to me, when I got on the floor. I am in a room that has a light switch that I cannot reach and the room has no bathroom in it. The hospital is filthy, disorganized, and definitely Third World. When I asked to speak to the nursing supervisor, I asked for her name and then asked if I could take a picture of her ID, as I had the doctor in the ER and she willingly placed her hospital issued ID on the bed and I took a picture of it. Within 30 minutes two armed officers were up in my room and demanded that I delete the picture from my phone. I hope everyone reads this and comments. I have still not received any of my regular medication’s, including heart medication, blood thinners, and painkillers since I’ve been here which is now 12 hours. What a mistake. Halifax is a far superior hospital. I

Cheryl Sorrill I was recently at Ormond Memorial after going into Afib. I was admitted to the 3rd floor and under went several heart tests. I was so impressed with my nursing and lab staff. Their kindness and empathy was phenomenal!! I have been in numerous hospitals over my 62 years and must say that this team was by far the best. It wasn’t just one particular nurse, the whole team were professional and kind! Their willingness to help in any way was so appreciated! A big shout out to Kat, Sindu, Alyssa, Shelly, Joy, Wilma, Alexis (lab) and I’m sorry I didn’t get some of the others names, but you know who you are. All of you need to be recognized for a job well done. And a big Thank you to Dr. Kazie and the charge nurse who stood up for me in a difficult and upsetting situation. These are front line warriors who always have a smile and a willingness to do the job and do it with a smile and empathy! God Bless and many Thanks! Cheryl and Marina

P S Recently at the emergency room with my mother who had fallen. I had to wait outside because there was only one person allowed to go in. I was watching the security guards working the door and was impressed by their professional and friendly attitudes toward everyone who came in. One was named Cary, did not catch the name of the other. They were both very cool in a very chaotic situation.

Sal Gentile Dr Bianchi is just so experienced and patient supportive. He listens, then gives you his professional response. He is an over the top dedicated surgeon. He took time to introduce me to an orthopedic surgeon who just joined the group I will be remarking about shortly as he deserves his own appreciation. Lets never forget the staff as they are the finest who are smiling, helpful and understanding. They deserve two paychecks for working twice as hard to support the patients.

Alberto Da Silva Mello I suffer with multiple lipomas. Dr. Bianchi removed 20 of my fat lipomas in four sessions, five each time. He is a fantastic surgeon. I highly recommend NFS and Dr. Bianchi. Lechelle Maguire My mom started seeing Dr. Domingues over 4 years ago. He was not informative and lacked bedside manner. He dismissed all my moms systems and previous medical history. By the end of the appointment, he pretty much made her think it was all in her head. She never went back for a second appointment. She switched doctors offices to FL Arthritis and met on of the most amazing NP, she really helped her and listened to everything she had to say. They came up with an accommodating treatment plan and she was feeling better than she had in years. The NP also discovered that her body didnt absorb vitamins and nutrients the way it should. Although my moms blood work wouldnt always say It was having that issue, she figured it out and changed all her vitamin intake to injections. I couldnt believe the difference in how she felt. My mom even started losing drastic amounts of weight. Unfortunately, the NP left the practices and then the practice closed for good. The family was devastated but mostly my mom. Due to insurance reasons, she had no choice but to go back to Dr. Domingues. I prayed that with a few more years of experience he would have changed but unfortunately that wasnt the case. With all my moms new records and treatment plans he stilled dismissed her as if she was crazy and treated her like she was a liar. Mind you shes dealt with this issue for over 20 years and has never taken pain killers and just anti-inflammatories, as she is against narcotics. So, according to him, my moms pain must not be that bad and her skin flareups are due to environmental causes. I am a licensed Esthetician, so I am constantly doing research trying to find skin care that will help calm her flare ups. Her butterfly rash will get so dry to the point where her skin will crack and bleed. I cannot legally diagnose anything like this, as it is not in my scope of practice, but a butterfly rash is one of the many painful side effects of lupus. I dont understand how he is still in practice. I will never return to take my mom to him again as she would leave in tears. I wish her insurance would provide more options. She for now will live her life in pain and deal with her Lupus and RA on her own. This is so unfortunate and breaks my heart. We have been trying more of a holistic approach to try and get her to feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.

(304) Reviews Veterinary Emergency Center:

Nathan Mamula On Friday, 3/7/25 around 11PM, we took our 10-month-old kitten, Coconut, to the ER due to frequent and small urination with blood. We called ahead to check the wait-time, to minimize his stress, and were advised to bring him in immediately. They informed us that all animals would be physically examined upon arrival, & depending on the severity of the ailment, would be placed in queue accordingly. True to their word, upon arrival, they immediately checked for urinary blockages (potentially very dangerous/life threatening) but informed us that there wasn’t one, thankfully! The front staff, especially Rhianna, was incredibly kind, eased our nerves, and offered us a private room with WiFi and streaming TV, as we waited for the doctor. She was very knowledgeable and checked on us often as we waited around 3 hours to see the doctor. The vet tech, Michael, provided excellent care, keeping us informed throughout our wait, as well, and elaborated on the doctor’s directives. Both Michael and Rihanna were very helpful in answering any questions we had. Due to a software glitch and Coconut’s eventual “spiciness” (on brand), they were unable to complete a urinalysis, and removed the charge from our bill. Based on a physical exam, Dr. Z’s diagnosis was likely Stress Cystitis, potentially due to recent stressors that included neutering, trips to/from clinics, & the high volume/chaos of bike week. Because there didn’t appear to be any urinary blockages, she recommended we take him back home to continue monitoring him where he’s comfortable. She also prescribed two different pain meds to relieve his discomfort and to help relax his urethra — which appear to have worked, as he’s now urinating normally and enjoying his medication-enhanced cartoons. VECEV operates on a triage basis, so wait times vary, but our visit took about three hours. The bill was reasonable, covering the after-hours exam and meds. While we hope to never need them again, we’d return in an emergency. Huge thanks to VECEV for their compassionate care of Coconut!

Heather Goncalves Worst experience I have ever had. The situation was was horrific as it was, seeing as I just went through a similar situation with our familys dog days before at a different location and the experience there was amazing. We had to euthanize our family dog and the receptionist with blue and pink hair was the least bit compassionate. Every 5 minutes she would enter the room asking. Are we ready? Are we ready? Heres some chocolate shes going to die anyways. We were completely mortified. Nick was about the only one who was compassionate. He took his time to explain to us the process and checked in on us to make sure we were okay and needed anything told us to take our time. The gentleman who ended up taking our dog was also sweet as well. I did not get a chance to get his name but he asked my daughter if she wanted her blankie back or if she wanted her dog to be cremated with it. Though I know that our dog may not have meant anything to anyone else. Thank you to Nick and the gentleman who took her after she crossed the rainbow bridge for having so much compassion while the receptionist laughed and cackled and nearly pushed us out of the room and told us to get it over with because it would make it easier on us so we didnt have to carry her outside to use the restroom since she no longer had use of her legs. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Racquel Binns This review is for the Dental Clinic/ Department. I had a 9:00 AM appointment today, but I wasnt seen on time. What’s frustrating is that, while filling out the paperwork, there were all these rules about showing up on time and the consequences if you dont. Why isnt this applicable to them too? Don’t get me started on the dentist, Dr. Denise Orlando. She’s a very strange woman. Her bedside manner is concerning and discriminatory— It’s like she scorns the patients that don’t look like her. I felt uncomfortable in her care. It was as if she thought I had a contagious disease, given the distance she kept between us. This department seems to do nothing but refer patients elsewhere. I gave 3 stars only because the dental assistant, a woman of color, was super sweet, more caring, and compassionate than the dentist herself.

Aislinn I was transferred against my wishes and without my consent at 28 weeks pregnant when I asked about water birth. The doctor said that “what we do here is very by the book” and suggested that I probably wouldn’t be happy to have an induction at so and so many weeks (their cutoff). I said “it wouldn’t be my preference.” Then I received a phone call and a letter informing me that I was being transferred and that they would no longer see me except for emergency care if necessary. I tried to explain to the doctor that I really didn’t have strong feelings about induction. Of course I wouldn’t prefer to have one, but that was not something I was interested in transferring over. But he refused my multiple attempts to speak to him and clarify. It was very stressful to find myself without a doctor so far into my pregnancy as many places do not accept transfers late in pregnancy. I would’ve liked to have been able to make this decision for myself instead of having it made for me. I’m giving three stars because I feel that the care I did receive up till that point was good quality. Incidentally, the induction question was a moot point because my water broke at 38 weeks. I delivered a healthy baby with Halifax.

Danielle Shreffler Honestly if I could give a rating lower than one star I would. My experience with this office both times I have tried to use them during pregnancy has been horrendous. Most of the staff are okay however whenever you walk in the door they make you sign up on a piece of paper and then they do not greet you or even ask for your insurance information until 20-30 minutes into waiting. Often staff is seen gossiping and on their phones instead of gathering important information like insurance card and ID. Once you are checked in for your ultrasound you are taken back and the ultrasound technician bedside manner is something to be worked on as well. All of this can be dealt with / looked past however what we could not deal with was the rudeness and incompetence of their doctors records and health information. I was seen December for my first ultrasound to confirm pregnancy, at this appointment I was told in clear terms that my pregnancy was viable and to follow up in 4 weeks. Due to some insurance changes I had to transfer records to a new OB, imagine your new OB calling you and asking did you get pregnant again after the miscarriage? And being absolutely confused? That was my experience with this OB office. Volusia OB put on my medical records that my ultrasound was for a follow up from a miscarriage when they told me in office that I had a viable healthy pregnancy, ordered blood work and sent me to a MFM for specialized care due to being a type 1 diabetic. Not once were we ever told that we had miscarried but according to their records I lost a baby that is currently growing in my stomach. This is completely unprofessional and has caused undue stress on a already stressed mother. If I had not already had another ultrasound at the specialist I would be rushing to the ER to make sure I hadnt miscarried and been carrying a deceased baby....On top of this, they sent records from my previous pregnancy 2 years ago (these records were not listed on the medical release authorization form) instead of the records from this pregnancy initially making it even harder for the new OB to review accurate records on top of falsifying the most recent records... I dont even need to go into the struggles with them during my first pregnancy as the second one has been enough for me to completely write them off and recommend that no mother go here for care.

AnTonia DeAnna chandler I had an appointment on December 30th for Lab Work. Im "in house" so they told me I couldnt go to Labcorp and I had to have my blood drawn at the Daytona office. So I got my blood drawn by Janice on December 30th 2024. They were supposed to check my Thyroid and other routine blood work. I went in today January 7th 2025 for my follow up appointment to discuss my blood results. It was then that I was made aware that they lost my blood work for my Thyroid test. Janice didnt even remember me coming in on December 30th for my labs. I understand this office is busy so I will overlook that part but to lose someones blood work is another level of incompetence beyond comprehension. If this office can lose someones blood work so easily then it wouldnt be that unbelievable that they might accidentally mix up someones labs in the future. Which sounds like a lawsuit in the making, something upper management might want to think about. This is exactly why I wanted to go to labcorp and why I will request to do so in the future. Then Dr. Dyer said since they lost my blood work I could have it retaken today. Why would I have the same people retake my blood work after they already lost it? I cant keep having blood work done every week because they "misplace it". Its very scary to have your health be in the hands of underskilled medical employees. I dont see this ever happening at any other doctors office. I read my portal today after my appointment and it said I have "white coat syndrome" thats why my blood pressure was high. Wouldnt your blood pressure be high if you knew that your health was not being taken seriously? It certainly would make anyone upset. Also, it said I declined having my blood drawn today. What Dr. Dyer failed to mention is that the reason I declined the blood work was because they LOST my previous labs. Also, my portal said I have a Vitamin A deficiency. I wasnt even checked for vitamin A? If this office wants to continue to offer services like blood work then it needs to be more professional and organized.

I recently moved to Virginia to be near family, and one consideration in my difficult decision to move farther away was no longer being able to be his patient.
