brittany vail Had a wonderful experience with ace automotive. I needed a lot of work done to my car and while I was nervous about spending a lot of money on a big job I was rest assured after having everything that needed to be done explained thoroughly and with reasonable pricing! Owners were very honest and helpful and the job went quick and seamless. I will be back for all further car repairs. Can’t thank them enough!

Anthony ⚠️ A Word of Caution Before Doing Business with Ace Automotive ⚠️
I had been a loyal customer of Ace Automotive for years under the previous owner Bob, who was truly amazing to work with. Unfortunately, since the new ownership took over recently, both customer service and business ethics have taken a drastic downturn, while prices have steadily increased, usually after the initial quote.
To anyone considering using Ace Automotive: proceed with extreme caution. This is not the honest, customer-focused business it once was. The new owners resort to shady, high-pressure tactics and unethical business practices. If you do decide to take your vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and being prepared to advocate for yourself.
I hope the following overview of my experience helps others avoid a similar nightmare.
After an inspection of my small oil leak, I received a quote via their electronic system but did not authorize any repairs. A few months later, I left a voicemail to make an appointment to consider the repairs. I received a text from the owner’s wife with the date and time. I attempted to confirm what would be included and the expected cost. I did not get a response till after I dropped off the car, informing me that the price had increased—without any prior discussion. When I called immediately after receiving this information to clarify the pricing increase, I was met with hostility instead of answers.
Rather than having a professional conversation, the owners wife became defensive, then outright aggressive. When I asked to speak with the owner (who had initially explained the repairs), I was told I wasn’t allowed to. Instead, I was spoken to in a condescending manner, as if I were being reprimanded. As someone who holds a high-level corporate position and deals with escalations professionally, I can confidently say this was one of the most unprofessional encounters I’ve ever experienced.
At this point, I informed them I would not be moving forward with the repair and would be picking up my vehicle. That’s when things took a disturbing turn—I was told I owed $350 because they had already “taken my car apart.” Keep in mind:
❌ I never authorized any work.
❌ No verbal or written agreement was in place.
❌ I had only scheduled an appointment to discuss the repair.
Despite this, they refused to release my car unless I paid. When I challenged this, I was met with insults and profanity, including being called an “asshole” and accused of trying to scam them. To make matters worse, they threatened to have my car towed to an impound lot at my expense.
After contacting the state of Florida, I learned that my vehicle was being held unlawfully. I had no choice but to hire an attorney to get my car back. A formal complaint will be filed.
