1 /5 Simona Aquaro: In the past few days I had the “pleasure” to visit the Baptist three times. First two times in homestead the other one on Kendal drive. I came in for an emergency! That’s why I went to the ER and not in the waiting room of a doctor. I spent so many hours in the ER without no reasons. Today I’m still at the hospital. Came in at 11 am. They only did one blood test around 12 pm. After that I’ve been just waiting and waiting for one simple medication. It is now 8 pm and nothing. No nurse know anything!!! They all seem that they don’t know shit! I don’t even know what’s their job here. Walking around taking blood pressure I guess! It is ridiculous waiting so long since I came in for an EMERGENCY!!!!! What kind of emergency have you wait a full day?????? What happens if I get worse while waiting???? Who do I sue??? This is just ridiculous!!! Don’t ever come for emergency to the Baptist!

1 /5 Ed Nolan: I am finding little or no service with Baptist Health. I am having a few issues and trying to manage them. When I try to schedule appointments through their system it tells me I need to call. When I call it is a central scheduling person who says I will forward you to the front desk of the provider I am trying to g to reach. Then I sis on hold for ever and no one picks up. A scheduler told me one of the providers would call me back the next day because it was close to closing. That was 3 days ago. If you try to call the primary care office in Marathon they close at 4 and stop answering the phones at 3:30. My level of frustration with BH is beyond belief. Unfortunately there is not a whole lot of choice in the FL Keys. Since most of my records are with them I have been reluctant to make a change. I guess I will try Mt Siani and travel the 2-1/2 hrs to Miami for my future needs.

1 /5 Basura Shelf: William Trattler MD HIs office is giving me big problems. I agreed to an upgrade for cash not covered by insurance. I am unable to prove I have cancelled verbally because they dont have email other than info. I wrote an email to info but have no idea if they will read it. I want to let them know asap so they dont find excuses to keep this refundable money. I feel screwed. Hope doctor trattler sees this review and sees that the problem is resolved. This is what I need to convey to Dr Trattler Dr Trattler I wish to request a full and complete refund of the $1500 payment for the upgraded lense. i have been trying all day to convey this request to your office. I fear I am taking a commission from your saleperson/ closer and the refund request loses a problem As soon as I paid I asked the closer to explain the instructions and she was dismissive and told me to read it myself. After making a $1500 sale. Please make this quick and easy for us both. I need a written acknowledment of the refund request. real soon to avoid further need to try to get your attention. my guess is you may make more money on the upgrades than on what Medicare pays ,and my request may be distressing . It was a nightmare today trying to communicate with your office. Two different people asked my why i want to cancel the upgrade and request a full and complete refund. No one would agree to acknowledge my request in writing. I see you have a money minting machine and I am nobody. I am like a mouse trying to get through to an elephant. I need to request a total cancellation of all scheduled procedures. I dont dare to risk making your people mad. thank you for a rapid acknowledgment so I dont have to go further in getting your attention. Dont let this go to the weekend please. Your office staff said you wouild call. I dont need that. That seems to be a way of getting rid of me rather than sending the requested acknowledgement. And Believe Me, Mark Glasser I am afraid if I get you too pissed off, if I need to communicate further, as I know how to do , I will need to fly out of florida to get my eyes fixed as you are a highly respected well promoted practitioner who probably pays good kickbacks Thank you for understanding. PS This has stimulated my curiosity. Considering this situation is a national issue from the standpoint of the non medicare payments Your industry uses medicare paid anesthesia ,facility ,personnel to derive extra money. should your industry reimburse medicare from the extra payment. Is that potentially a qui tam action? Probably not, but it wouid be easy to ask the question on the internet. I have no interest in litigation nor do i have a claim, but I would not mind giving true information to a lawyer who would try to sic your industry. LOL PS on a lighter note. The most important person in your office. the saleslady/closer who took my credit card payment in advance, has the personality of a fish. ( not a guppy, Maybe a Pantagonian tooth fish)

1 /5 Xzkyv: About a year ago my then 69 year old mother was admitted to the ER for low iron levels. The hospital ran test and diagnosed her with a tumor in her stomach. Doctors and assistants never showed us the images. They went ahead and did a biopsy and determined that it was cancer. First stage cancer was her diagnosis. They pushed for chemo. 4 low strength chemo sessions, so they said. Then proceeded two months later to remove the tumor and realized then and there that the tumor was larger than they anticipated, so they removed 80% of her stomach. This was in February of this year. They sent her to rehab for recovery. Then proceeded to continue the other 4 chemo treatments. A month after her last chemo, she started to feel sick with vomiting, so they admitted her again. This time, they immediately pushed to intubate her before knowing exactly what was wrong. As a family, we all refused, so they ran tests and very abruptly determined to say in front of her that the cancer had spread and we needed to proceed to place her on hospice care. My mother passed on July 15th, more of depression than the cancer. How does a doctor confirm first stage and in less than a year confirm final stage. We are all left in disbelief. At not point did they ever show us proof of her diagnosis or proof of what was done to her. Please keep your loved ones away from this place!!! Something is not right with Baptist. In three years we have lost three loved ones. The other two were sudden deaths. One was a dear friend that went in for a gallbladder removal and passed away a week later in agonizing pain at the hospital. My sons grandfather went in and was hospitalized, to then pass away in days and family was not confirmed of what he passed away from. Baptist has become a third world facility and the so called professionals have no idea of what they are doing. This place needs to be thoroughly investigated.

1 /5 Maria Bello: The worse!!!! This hospital used to be top notch, now it is a nightmare. The ER department works fine. They try to help you even when they are full of patients. At least in the ER you get tests done and fast results. Once you are Admitted and transferred to a floor your nightmare begins. My 82 years old mom was admitted to the critical care unit in the Hope building with flu and pneumonia. The first night it went well, her nurse Jose was very attentive and professional. After that it was chaos. She needed respiratory treatment 3 times a day. I had to be asking the nurse because they had not come to do it. Finally, the internist doctor did the treatment himself. Mind you, this is the Critical Care Unit where patient need to be monitored closely. Only one day that she had Jose as a nurse was she really taken care of. If you don’t have a family member to advocate for you, you don’t receive the medical care you need. Very disappointing, No proper care but the bill is more than a 5 star hotel stay. CEOs only care for profit not for patient satisfaction. Remember, we go there because we need medical assistance.
