5 /5 connie callahan: I have been a volunteer at Lake City Humane Society for several months now. I am so impressed with all the improvements made there over the past year. They do a great job of caring for the animals and finding them homes. With so many strays being brought in and owner surrenders, it is always an uphill battle. However, the staff there are very caring and do a good job of keeping the community informed/involved. They have also done a great job of improving the Humane Society Thrift store. It is a great organization! I enjoy the time I spend there helping the animals.

5 /5 Red Miller: I give full marks for Lake City Humane Society because the staff of workers and volunteers really care. They are overworked and underpaid and still greet you with a smile and a warm reception. On the other hand, I have to say Im very disappointed in my community. The donations to the Humane Society are clearly at an all time low, when the need is at an all time high. I know there is little budget for anything anymore but we, as local residents, owe it to them to help. Old blankets, extra dog food or cat food, cleaning supplies, collars, pee pads your puppy doesnt use anymore, even microwaves or bicycles... They have a great resale shop if they could get the donations. Please consider it and drop off your lightly used items and see first hand what it can do for a critter in need. Maybe even take one home. Or two!

5 /5 Kacey Parker: The staff are extremely nice and professional. They care for the animals there as if they were their own. I highly recommend them for all adoptions. We adopted our baby from there and she is the best dog ever! Thank you again for being the best!!

5 /5 Ann C: Our very old dog, diagnosed with stomach tumors reached the point where he needed assistance crossing the rainbow bridge. My vet was "too busy". The vet and techs at LCHS were so kind to help end his suffering in a dignified manner. They came out to our vehicle, loved on him, explained every step and reaction of the process to us and were so very caring to us and our dog. They made a difficult decision and goodbye bearable.

1 /5 Adam Baxter: The most un organized place. And they dont follow up on what they promised 6 years ago I tried to get a puppy placed there. I still have the dog. I recently spoke with them about getting a stray that was pregnant spayed after 4 weeks and 3 calls I gave up and she had 4 puppies and I found them all good homes without any help from them. One star is being generous
