5 /5 Rita Broomell: I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension in 2022 and was told I had 3 to 6 months to live. My husband and I just acted immediately and moved across country so we could get to Mayo clinic. In Jacksonville, my right side heart was in complete failure. And today I can say it is operating normally from the outstanding care I was given and medications that I could not receive anywhere else. I struggled so hard trying to get treatment. Once we arrived here, which was very quickly, we packed up sold our home and were moved within 3 months. Everything turned around. There is no cure for what I have, but I am still here.
